«  Protools on hand »

I just bought this d-32 faders control has Waves, I'm working on for about 1 month.
Before this console, I had digi 002, a control 24 and a C24 (which is now in the studio B) and finally d-control 32 faders.
This controller has many qualities:
First, the visual dimension that sadly is becoming increasingly important, it is a great short and ca in jete!!
90% of the functions of a Protools are at hand, we gain in speed and precision, in fact we mix a bit like a SSL / Neve in the sense that does not look at the screen of the computer, but we look at the console and mix with your ears.
The focus mode is very convenient, it can keep on hand a track, and display the inserts on the EQ and Dynamics dedies panels of the central part. So we work on the plugs via the console.
Part monitoring via the X-mon is a bit complicated but once you understand how they work ca rolls. Can be rotated 2 separated circuits 7.1 plus a stereo system for my part, I use the 3 circuits for the stereo (music studio).
Very practical small function that also exists on the C24: double click on the talkback can leave it open without ay leave your finger on it, very convenient to let them talk between the rule and the live room while the amount taken.
Only downside, the price recess but hey it's the pro, ca certe seems delirant lacher 60000 euros for something new in the sound does nothing.
This is the kind of console we buy when we do not want the constraints of an analog console (recall too long, or popping gourmet food, automations not very efficient and permanent maintenance and expensive) but not as a mixer the mouse.
Having mixes on ssl and neve consoles, although I find it really nice today for my studio I prefer this hybrid configuration (protools / peripheral controller + analog)
