UTILIZATION
I also read the book, I'm a quiche in musical scales (which not prevent me to have fun), I have read the lines to dip the different options, ie, flutter, t arm, the detune, harmonist, pitch shift.
SOUND QUALITY
Effective effect, I had NO real answer as to whether to play a semitone above / below in agreement pitch shifter mode. The answer is ... YES! BUT! There like a tremolo effect on it.
If not note by note, no worries.
I especially like the T Arm that are daunting, good must not be abused, we agree.
I never tested the harmonizer and it increased my musical creativity.
Riffs, ideas, you come easily.
I just use the Detune, I should look it over.
Flutter is nice, as if playing vibrato anything.
Adding an octave chords thicken your sound well, I love.
OVERALL OPINION
I have a few weeks. I hesitated a long time with the whammy (living legend indeed) but too bulky. I trust boss for its products (except some stuff like the mt2 but nevermind).
This effect goes everywhere, which enriches the guitar (simulate a 12-string for example). I'm not at all disappointed with this purchase, on the contrary, it is a different approach to composition and it pushes creativity!
