Exactly one year after the release of the iOS version, Steinberg announces the availability of its Cubase iC Pro app on Android.
Just like the iOS version, the Android edition of Cubase iC Pro allows Cubase users to remotely control their DAW from their smartphone or tablet via WiFi.
The app offers several windows via which you can visualize the project (with zoom, marker adding and tempo change), the transport section with built-in metronome or the mixer to adjust the levels, pan, mute/solo, automation or arm the recording.
Cubase 6.5, 7 and 7.5 users with the Control Room feature can program up to 4 cue-mixes with headphones, each being controlled by a separate Android device.
Last, the Cubase iC Pro app allows for customizing key commands and macros and assign them in Cubase.
Cubase iC Pro is compatible with Android 4.0.3 and later, and with versions 6.5, 7 an 7.5 of Cubase and Cubase Artist, as well as Cubase LE, Cubase AI and Elements 6 and 7.
The app is free and available for download from Google Play and Amazon, but you will also need to install the Cubase iC Pro Remote Extension for Android, which is available for purchase on the Steinberg webstore for 14.99€. You can download a trial version from www.steinberg.net.
