This is an analog distortion pedal Boss carrying a digital processor for chorus and delay not separable from the distortion effect.
The mono signal is routable in two mono outputs out.
It's 9 V DC for the 70 m / s.

UTILIZATION

A level, a tone and a drive. It will all understand! There just has a fourth mode. One without additional effects, three small delays and two colorful chorus.

SOUND QUALITY

For distortion analog part is still in the classic Boss. To know that people who do not like the look of his electric shaver classify the Boss MZ-2 in the same category as all her sisters and regardless of the color of their boxes. One could even say that the Digital Metalizer pedal is paradigm of this family of Japanese buzzantes.
But some alchemists and not more left found fantastic uses Boss distortion pedals, but it takes time and tube amps carefully selected. Marriage JCM 800 and DS1 is such a marvel.
I use it as is with my bass and I am a fan of the chorus mode 1, the distortion thoroughly, I found a fake and delicious side, halfway between Beastie Boys and Daft Punk.

OVERALL OPINION

As such, the MZ-2 is often very hard to use. And yet it is the cheap side which returned to my mind like a dream. Because I have owned this pedal in the past, then resold to not to burn at the stake of my purism of the time. I bought last year and it was the solution to the specific sound I wanted for my bass in my new musical project.
I need it in a spare ...
