Korg has launched an app that plays high resolution audio on your iOS devices, the iAudioGate.
The new Korg iAudioGate app employs the AudioGate 3 engine, the DSD playback and conversion software specially adapted to work as an app for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, which allows for playing high resolution files in DSD up to 11.2 MHz, as well as AAC, FLAC, MP3, WAV up to 192 kHz and more. iAudioGate fully controls the conversion process, which allows for playing any file regardless of their sample rates or resolutions.
The iAudioGate app also includes a graphic EQ (does not process DSD files), an oversampling function and you can transfer HD files via AirDrop, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or iTunes from your computer to your iDevice. Note that DRM-protected files won’t be played.
The app is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and later and a remote control app for the Apple Watch is also available.
The iAudioGate can be purchased for the introductory price of €/$ 9.99 at the AppStore until July 31st, which is a 50% savings.
