Robert Keeley has launched a new distortion pedal that reproduces the layered effect of Marshall amps.
The new Keeley 1962 uses a hybrid circuit: the pedal is based on the Katana boost which circuit is split and completed with hand soldered surface mounted JFET transistors and an op amp. This way, the Keeley 1962 “stacks” effect layers to offer a large sounding distortion.
The Keeley 1962 is hand made. It is available for $179 and B-Stock models are also offered for the price of $149. Note that you can currently get a free t-shirt with any order made at robertkeeley.com.
