I have this pedal for ten years, it pushes all the others ...
First, it is digital and programmable (2 more presets bypass), with the possibility to feed on 4 AA walkman (consolidated around 130mA).
Two switches on the back very important: the entry level hi / lo output and amp / line. This allows its use on a PA or bass amp / keyboard, note that the bypass is not affected by the trimming line.
The buttons are drive-tone-contour-level, with a boost switch in addition, all programmable.
A noise gate is automatic in the game, but is not used for our scratch is to erase the quantization noise of the pedal that generates ...
You're the only point which can be problematic, in fact impossible to manage the level of gain in volume on the guitar since the background noise is so good now. For modern players (all adonf ...) no worries.

UTILIZATION

Very simple, all having a bad sound is impossible with this machine. You first set the switches on the back, then it's gone. Turn the knobs to your taste and the international press "program" for a few seconds is actually childish.

SOUND QUALITY

Very good beefy overdrive well as needed, but also very subtle, pretty amazing given the origin of digital gear. I could even set the first preset beautiful very clean electric guitar, for use on bass amp, with the second preset pusher ... Very hairy bluffing.

The bypass eats a little clarity, I put the pedal in a passive loop (with a delay while I am), I like that a true bypass.

This pedal was the guitar player honors usa, and home fire guitars & keyboards ...

The output level can be important if necessary, to enter into the power tubes for example.

OVERALL OPINION

I have one foot from Korg, the G1 distos dedicated to offering sound of high quality, so it knows the brand.

I can not say the same for my tubeman2 hughesKettner which gave results opposite this pathetic OD105. Same with many others, and I have / have had ...
What is striking is the side right there, present-bluffing the Korg. The GT2 has the same immediacy, but without transparency.

The only problem may come from the right switch, I just changed mine six years ago, zero worries since (he is the type-a momentary event in conrad for 5 euros ...).

I never could put the legs on a od105 on occasion, so rare. If it happens to you, buy it's all good.
