RCF introduced at Musikmesse a new series of portable loudspeakers that comprises subs + satellites. Two EVOX 5 and EVOX 8 are currently available.
The RCF EVOX special “block-type” design allows for easy transport and setup. Both EVOX 5 and EVOX 8 feature a DSP processor with algorithms for the crossover, protections, and even a special algorithm for voice, which makes the systems suitable for both music bands and speech.
The EVOX 5 features a 10” subwoofer in a bass reflex design on which a satellite/line source with 5×2” full range speakers is mounted. Its Class D amplifier delivers 800W and allows for 128dB SPL max. RCF announces a frequency response ranging from 45Hz to 20kHz and the sound projection angle is 120° x 30°.
The EVOX 8 is a 1400W model featuring a 12” woofer with 2.5” voice coil and the column hosts 8×2” speakers. Frequency response of this version is 40Hz – 20kHz and the SPL max is 128dB.
