I acquired this extension SRX-06 thinking it would boost my XV-5050 on the register orchestra. Amateur, performing music for 39 years, composer my spare time, I DCID CRER of a proposed composition of film music. Possdant Furthermore, a Kurzweil PC2-R (r-edition 2008, card possdant Orchestral PCR-1), I wish to add this palette great for sound and also in case failure of Kurzweil. All the reviews on internet guided my choice to the SRX-06.
I give you, therefore, my opinion on this extension. I prcise sound equipment that my heel is on the basis of Kurzweil, pregnant with FCR, flat spectrum without corrections. This rglage is perfect, including the XV-5050 without the expansion card SRX-06.

Analysis of sound offered by this extension
Strings: trs average quality, I would say mdiocre but exploitable mix.
The legato is mauvaix (noys in effect, this is more soup than strings, lack of dynamics / expressiveness), the marcatto, pizzicato mdiocres are some good solo cello ...
The sounds of orchestras: the same, too much because eventually the soup.
Wind instruments: not too bad, but nothing more
Pianos: just right for the mix, bad if (compar Kurzweil)
The Hit: not bad, in a usable components
The FX: as always, Roland excels
The ethnic trs good, it retains the Uilleann pipes and bouzouki, not too bad but perfectible
The vocals: Register in which I finally found the SRX not too bad ...
In fact, every sound, I compare with the PC2-R and l. ... No photo, see nothing, night and day ... What a pleasure to play the Kurzweil ...
CONCLUSION: In view of the sale price (299), although I find the lack of quality orchestral sounds (including strings) for a card that says full orchestra. What justifies the unsatisfactory mark. Roland could now reduce the price of this card, given his age ...
