I use this card in my little home studio as recently as private and professional.
A little tank for a record result of semi-pro, I have finally been pleasantly surprised.

I use an old PC with a Windows XP devoid of artifice (no antivirus, no net, etc. ...) specially dedicated to the music. 3GB of RAM + graphics card for dual display 850Go + SD.

I recorded electric guitars, acoustic, cello, vocals, keyboards, etc. ... no problem.

UTILIZATION

The drivers are a bit old and lack of update for the benefit of ESP1010e (necessarily PCI PCI Express are all with current machines). However, no bugs and deplore the lack of update is not a concern because it works wonderfully.

I used this card with number DAW (demo or purchased) as Sonar, Logic 5, Acid Pro and now with Sudio One of Presonus. Again no problem. Just be vigilant to setup the card before starting the program depending on the sampling frequency. But hey, that's to be done once and then it stopped moving.

I have virtually no latency problem (PCI there is no such thing!), Except for some synth but it's more a problem of management of the processor that the card itself. Latency is very low. I almost never realigned except for some tracks where, once defined, it suffices to apply the same offset mathematically to solve this micro displacement.

GETTING STARTED

Installation is quick. Cables are numbered, it is very clear.
The 19 "is perfect for integration with devices of the same template.
Light and simple operating systems are installed very quickly. It is in working order quickly.

The manual? What manual? Just kidding, but I open it once to learn nothing. The use and implementation of this card is really simple with no space settings to disappoint some audio-geeks.

Regarding inconsistency, I have not found it yet. Just be super careful in buying this card because it fits on a PCI slot. If your PC to PCI Express, opting instead for his little sister ESP1010-e. It has been nearly 6 years

OVERALL OPINION

I use it after trying other cards (in each PCI). I even started with the ISIS Guillemot at the time lol.
It fits me well. Although there are 100 times better you can achieve results bluffing when applying.

What I like best?
The foot is the digital input to record a synth without any loss (without mixer, a single cable for direct entry into the PC)!
Second advantage of double MIDI I / O that adds flexibility in steering. Lastly, multiple entries Jack 6.5 before the card for direct harvest of friends without removing any wiring or without seeking input available in the mixing desk.
What I like least?
The microphones feed is not provided. Well it does not because I m'handicape happening elsewhere but at a time I found it comfortable. Buy an adapter side is a bit abused.

Viewpoint value for money is the top (at least at the time) for small budget who want to taste the quality.
With experience, I would make the same choices in the budget even though I admit to seek quality over a little history to test the difference. The problem is a PCI card for both MIDI for 19 with all I / O and digital output ... well it's either that or we exploded the budget. Many cards are not as benefit together. It still lacks a point.
