Please make this available for Windows (Altiverb 7)

By sw80, 26/10/2012
The Audio Ease Altiverb 7 is a reverb plug in that cost 529 dollars. It will only work on Mac computers (which I think does not make it appealing). I do wish this was for all platforms because it is really good and they should release an update making it available for PC users. The Altiverb 7 is easy to install, it is available for download as soon as you complete the check out. After you complete the check out you will get a link in your email to download the Altiverb 7. The Altiverb 7 does require you to have iLok.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Setting up the Audio Ease Altiverb 7 takes no time at all, as soon as you install it you can begin to use it right away. The manual is in PDF format and it is easy to use if you need it.

OVERALL OPINION

Using the Altiverb 7 has allowed me to get that eerie and ambient reverb that I love using. I hardly ever use it on vocals I mainly just use it on instruments and sometimes some background vocals. You can really dig deep into the reverb process with the Altiverb 7. You can pick the type of room you want the reverb to replicate. I love how you can use the visual browsing option to get the reverb that you want, or you can just type in the search box to find the style of reverb you want. Most of the reverbs are great as is (presets) but feel free to tweak them if you want to change some things up.

The Altiverb 7 is one of my favorite reverb plug-ins for Mac OS. It works like a charm and gives you the professional reverb that you need to separate you from the rest of the pack. The only thing that upsets me with Altiverb is that they have not come out with a Windows version of it yet.

BeyondR's review (Altiverb 7 XL)

By BeyondR, 30/11/2012
I haven't found any issues regarding this software, the manual is quite clear and provides all the necessary information and I must also mention how easy and fast the general configuration and setup of this program is.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The software works decent , stable , without any type of errors or crashes.
I'm getting high-quality results with the feel of this real soft , warm reverb that uses real samples of sound.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like the most about is the realistic feel that offers two and four channel sampled acoustics of real halls, cathedrals, bathrooms , and many other features like creating and sampling your own space.
Altiverb is the first reverb software to have advantage of the power of Apple's Altivec Velocity Engine which means that it requires a G4 to start.
I also do like how great and high quality this reverb sounds and it's use that is really really wide , from using on different acoustic instruments like piano or guitar to some synths like Native Instrument's Massive.

My opinion about the value of price is good, however this is a amateur plugin , it costs pretty much, and I do not advice to buy it unless you're very serious about your music , this product costs around 600$.

Precision and quality of sounds is very very good , I would rate it 9.5/ 10 , the only criticism that I can give is that it uses many resources, but aren't all high quality reverbs like this?.

I've tried several reverbs, some of my favorites are Aether , Reverberate and this product called Altiverb , you can do some crazy effects combining some presets provided by Aether and Altiverb.

Knowing what I know I would buy this product over and over again because of the quality provided by it and how realistic the reverb sounds.
However the price is quite huge, so you can search other alternative if this product doesn't fit your budget.
