Powered PA Speaker Cabinet from Yamaha belonging to the MSR series

Yamaha announces the new MSR250 powered PA speaker, which delivers 200-watts of sound via a 10-inch woofer and a one-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver designed for response from 55 Hz to 20 kHz.

The model is best suited as a PA speaker for smaller gigs or as an on-stage monitor for electronic drums, keyboards, vocals and acoustic guitar. It’s also adequate for schools, government institutions, hospitals, houses of worship and businesses that require amplified sound at gatherings and presentations.

The sturdy, lightweight cabinet includes a three-input mixer, which eliminates the need for an external mixing board in small sound situations. Inputs, including XLR, quarter-inch and RCA, plug into the rear panel, which also offers a two-band EQ and line-out for easy system expansion. The asymmetrical cabinet design eliminates internal standing waves, which can color the speaker’s output and harm sound quality.

Contributing to the unit’s durability, advanced ferrofluid is employed in the high frequency driver, ensuring natural frequency response and dependable performance quality under heavy use. The MSR250 powered loudspeaker (MSRP: $599) is available now.
