The RM-5 is a micro entirely handmade by Artur Fisher, a young Latvian craftsman passionate ribbon microphone. The sensor consists of an aluminum tape "Japanese" 2.5 micron of high quality and high grade magnets neodymium (manufacturer documentation).
Artur is making the body of the mic by a local craftsman. Micro weight is quite respectable, perceived quality is there.
The price is about 300 euros which is is quite reasonable for a micro handmade. The ribbon sensor (RE-154) Replacement is available at a cost of 45 euros. It comes without suspension optional.
Visit the manufacturer's website to see how this mic is manufactured, it is very interesting.
The site also features audio samples for various uses micro

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about a year mainly electric guitar amp plug and "room mic" battery.
It has a full, clear sound without aggression in acute without planing like many modern microphones tape.
I will give more feedback later on other uses.
Reviews of this micro net are good, some compare it to Royer R121 ...
