AKG has redesigned the "pencil microphone".

The redesigned C 747 V11 is designed to eliminate unwanted interference by mobile phones and wireless mics with the addition of an integrated RFi shield and the frequency response has been fine-tuned in order to provide a clear, understanding sound without changing the ambience of the classic C 747 sound, AKG assures.

With a hyper-cardioid polar pattern, the V11 provides off-axis rejection “to control ambient noise and feedback in acoustically challenging environments.” Another feature, not existent in the earlier C 747, is a switchable LF roll-off filter designed to suppress mechanical noise. The low impedance pre-amp operates on 9 to 52 V phantom power without a transformer.

The C747 V11 ships with an accessory set, including a shock mount/adapter, mini gooseneck, stand adapter, mounting clamp, thread link and windscreen.
