USE

Rotten at the sound too loud or you hear a thing (nothing progressive) primarily on the volume overdrive reverb does not change the sound by adding a frying (ac comes neither my nor my guitar jack or the place where it is for me).
otherwise easily transportable size and weight

SONORITS

I think that whatever the style of music the sound is not better because it is so rotten with frying all the time the first time that I lit I thought my jack so there was debranch had fried once the hue reverb is better but its really remainder desire the distortion is unmanageable the equalizer does not really responds to hand to add aggressive treble. And the little hp is struggling a bass reproduction when pushed volume.

I use it for 3 months now
I had the opportunity to try a T25R Ibanez and Peavey envoy 110 II with a friend and it has nothing to see
I am very disappointed in this amp too much breath to draw something

UTILIZATION

Very simple configuration
One can easily get a sound ... it is not good but good when you start who cares.

SOUNDS

Clean sound is nice when it starts.
on the other hand with ear training you realize that the sound does not really emotional.
I also find that spending 5 on the gain decays completely sound.
This amp will not honor a good shovel.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 years, 4 years there is no point me in troubleshooting or travel for work, I replaced daily by a Vox AC4TV and there was a beautiful sound.
It is convenient to take. It offers good power.
Drive knob getting tired not evil against

I buy it because I need one small but good amplifier quickly.

Basically the sound, it sound very loud and good to be an 15 watts amplifier. I recommend to everyone that need something good. It have an excelent overdrive with a clear reverb effect. The clean channell sounds to good so playing blues never have being a problem to me.

Sometimes I dont feel the reverb, and when the ampli is hitten by something it sounds cool! but that sound dont convince me.

It have a nice construction.

It is a good amplifier for anyone who is begginig and it sounds pretty fuckin good.

I bought two of these at The Guitar Center, and paid $99.00 each.

This is a great little amp. Looks good, and sounds good. Has an overdrive channel that is fun to fool around with.

Then I discovered something when I purchase the second unit. My first Frontman 15R was made in Indonesia, and my second Frontman 15R was made in China.

Indonesia model: The black vinyl covering has the same texture as my vintage Fender Amp, and the bright white lettering on the black face looks like the great too.

China model: The black vinyl is smoother, and the white lettering is more like grey lettering. So the China model doesn't look as "classic" as the Indonesia model.

Indonesia model: Seems to pickup more hum and radio frequency interference. This is especially true when using the reverb. In fact, I can't even use the reverb because of the extra noise.

China model: Clear as can be. I can turn the reverb up to "10" and I can't hear ANY hum or RFI.



I pulled off the back covers on both, and notice the China reverb unit looks more like my old Princton Reverb unit. Solid. The Indonisia model is in clear plastic, and looks cheap. The China unit uses "chokes" on the wires to minimize RFI, but the Indonisia model does not use ANY chokes.



Both models are great little amps for fooling around without making too much racket. The Indonisian model looks better, in my opinion, but the China model sounds better because it doesn't pick up any radio frequency interference. Both seem to have some punch to them that is impressive for such a small amp.

came in a budget pack with a quality Bulletstrat made by fender squier. Paid £200 for both.

Umm.. I quite like the red light specially in the dark.. umm i look the old look.. I also like the crappy quality.. specially the clean sound. Sounds kinda distorted..

Ok... First its shit..
also.. the clean sound.. is kinda crap...
the overdrive.. is kinda crappy and always has a buzzing noise when loud.. umm reverb sucks.. when you put it half way it starts to make the most annoying ringing sound..
so.. basically the worst amp I've owned. I mean I've got like 10 amps, and if it were my first amp I'd probably think."yeah this things kool".. but it sucks so there.

Well its made by fender.. yeah.. and kit sucks cos its color is gay and its heavy for what it is.. what a piece of shit.
I feel sorry for all those idiots who have it and think its good... get a marshall.

It sucks.. Don't even consider it or think about it..

I acquired this unit from a Sam Ash store, it was actually a gift to me. I was just started to play guitar, and I needed a decent amp to learn on.

This unit serves its purpose as a practice amp. Its got all of the essential functions on it, plus reverb. The sound is pretty good also. It features 2 channels, distorted and clean

When turned up loud, amp sounds too fuzzy and distorted. (mainly due to the fact that it only has a 12 inch speaker.) It does not sound good when cranked up loud, so dont buy this expecting it to deliver wonderful sound when cranked up all the way. When the reverb is put on over half way, I get a loud ringing noise, so i cant put reverb on over half way.

Very nicely built, strong design. However, my input seemed to have chipped off somewhat.

If you are starting guitar, and you want a quality amp to practice on, this is beyond perfect. If you want a gigging amp, get a larger amp.

I paid $180 for this amp in Jan. 2002 at long and mcquade so the price is canadian. It is my first amp so i bought the cheapest amp i could buy with a descent name.

Small, doesnt way much. Has two channels and reverb. Quality construction.

Buzzes, has a raspy tone when i hit certain strings (This may be due to my guitar), tone could be better.

Black vynal finish, durable, steel proliferated grill, 15 lbs or so, small.

I bought it as my first amp. Sounds awful really, especially after getting a tube amp, but you get what you pay for. Dont expect much from this amp unless you just wanna play or have become recently tone deaf. I would not buy this again, i would take the two hundred i spent and save it to buy another model of anything.

i got this amp at long and mcquade for $8.50, i was trading in a old amp for this one new and the difference in value was that ammount. LOL. i liked the distortion and reverb and size/volume of the amp.

distortion is great. reverb is awesome. volume is wicked, other features are tight. this amp is an overall cheap amp for $150 regular pricing for what you get. its the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this amp from Hollowood Music in Pittsburgh PA. It was $120.00 plus tax.
I bought this amp because the one I was borrowing needed returned, and I am still learning so a small inexpensive amp was the choice.

The amp has 2 channels. Basic controls plus reverb. The clean channel sounds really good. It is 15W thru an 8in speaker, and ways 15 pounds. A nice little amp for carrying over to friends house and/or just practicing at home.

The "dirty" channel kind of buzzez alot with the knobs turned way up, but this may be because of my guitar, I'm not sure yet.


The construction of this amp seems very good. It comes with a 5 year warranty from the manufacturer. It came out of the box looking perfect.

This amp is working great for me so far. As I progress eventually I will want a bigger amp, but this one will always have a place at my house. It is a good deal for the amount of amp you get.

It's a small combo 15w transistors, classic anything.

I have beginners with a. .. Note that there is now a new version of this combo, I possde former MODEL, one in the photo (to 7/6/2004), so CHARACTERISTICS are not quite the same.

Level use, it's bin good plug and play huh, easy carry around and not complicated to use!

Okay so the beginners, it suited me well with his trs clear channel and its channel saturated ...

But now that I have my Fender Blues Junior All Tube ... Ben has done wrong!

Quite simply, this combo is more to me that dpanner, as compared to the light, the sound of it is compltement dgueu! No motion, sound, cold, distant ... The rverb sucks and saturation ugly. It really is the transistor well ugly!

OVERALL OPINION

Well, let's be clear, for beginners (who have had little ears mouths), this little combo is very practical: its format first, and then by its ease of use ...

But for all those who jou dj lights on an amp or have a minimum of taste, they will find the sound compltement dgueu dirty and that really inspires it! This is truly the transistor in all its ugliness!

In short, a mixed review but when you beginners, we did not want to put forcment lot of money in a nice amp if you're not sr continue ...

Is what I would do the same choice? If my c'tait beginners, yes (or I would have bought the same little shit version Marshall) because its price is really trs attractions with, and it is easy to transport .. If c'tait now, not at all! I still buy prfre pounds of bananas! The sound is really ugly and cold!

what is good about this amp is that it is not too heavy and small ass
Peavy 15W compared to test it I had the same m **** lol
on the other hand for beginners is a good buy while waiting to buy anything better!

It's a transistor amp has 15 watts, to play the house is good enough, possde acute mdium, a serious and rverbe and a headphone output and between for a cd or string etc..
Ben should not compare a tube amp! it is all there is more because it honnte possde all rglages ncessaires

UTILIZATION

Simple configuration with or without a gain knob, I play it with my telecaster sound is clear, the gain, if one is just not going to gain in distortion is correct.

SOUNDS

My style of music without much gain, not suitable distorsionner death, the Fender clean sound of 15 watts, do not make esprer mtal above, or else to buy one made for pedals.
The couple rverbe this gives a nice clear sound his oldie

OVERALL OPINION

Since August 2004, I like the clear sound that PForm nothing, I hate the distortion, but I hate all the distortions cradoque! I play the ACDC on it too, because as everyone knows, Angus does not distorsionne but plays on the gain!

Not easy to note a product on its CHARACTERISTICS, but it's a 15W amp transistors that can give then give her to fill a flat 'or a small house but Obviously ridiculous for a outdoor concert

To play the clear saturated or nice (not the distortion!), It makes sense. Metalheads go your way.

I like to play Hendrix, Led Zep's from AC / DC so it's not forcment top top, but with effects pedals you can get by almost well (Fuzz face particular ), I play with a Squier Affinity (the quality is not there I know you lol)

Small personal rglage, the limit of the distortion dgueulasse (no fuzz):
-Channel Drive
-Gain: 4.5
Drive-volume: 2 (ca mouth quickly!)
-Treble: 5
-Normal: 7
-Bass: 10
-Reverb: 5

The sound is far from crystal ca is clear, the limit of a rather poor but good even when you understand what I play and it approaches the desired sound ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3-4 months, I like the clean and drive with little gain, I dtest the distortion with a gain of 7 or more.

I tried other models but none had convinced him.

For a mere 150 should not expect miracles and I find the report casually qualitprix pretty cool, although I guess you can find much better for not a lot of ways additions ...

With exprience but especially the means, I do not have that choice would do, it's still an amp for beginners ...
