1 Pre-Amp jack - what is it and when is it to be used?
I have a Vintage M80 - non chorus amp. I dont know what the preamp out jack is for and when it should be used.

Also, the left input jack is very hot - If I use the right input jack - am I loosing anything except gain?
Thanks,
machonedude

Usually, The Pre Amp Out jack is an unbalanced line out and can drive a slave power amplifier or-can be used for a patch to a mixer, etc.

Thank you for your input.(no pun intended)

Why do amp makers put two input jacks - one is hot and the other not so hot as far as gain is concerned?
Thanks again.
