UTILIZATION

Very simple configuration set when you know an amp. I did not linger on the manual (no need given the experience).

We easily get good sounds, very easily. None really rejected.

SOUNDS

Then there is the slap. I did not really "need" this preamp but it would be difficult to pass as soon as we test it. Plugged into the return of my Mesa, my Bugera or even in my interface with impulses it sounds. The sound is warm (ie analog) and very good.

The clean sound is not loud (it's not what you asked too) but the other two distorted sounds are excellent. My preference goes to a grain more compressed channel 3. I use it with my guitars (emg ltd, jackson rr ...) and I find that perfect preamp!

The advantage of FETs is that the sound is much better than digital (remember the heat SansAmp) and they do not need to be pushed to sound. In my amp, I can simply power tubes to work for THE sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few months. I've tried different preamp (especially in AMT in pedal format). For the price paid (150 € vicinity) is a marvel! This preamp is really a true preamp with its grain apart, nothing to do with simple distortions. Randall is very very strong, and I use it for different sounds but very good as those of my amps and this is what I asked!

little more non néglieable; the preamp is used to power a 9v pedal more .. Ideal for a front overdrive!
