martinc's review (Sony - DVP-NS32)

By martinc, 05/05/2006
I've had three months. In fact I use primarily as a CD, although it can of course also read DVDs. Today it is cheaper to buy a DVD drive for playing CDs than buying a CD.
For 85 euros you can not be too demanding, but still, the sound is pretty average (audio converters are not great), and the ergonomics are lousy. It is very slow to start, slow to read a CD, very slow to show, as he starts a CD you can not even take the opportunity to select the track number (it's one thing at a time, and slowly). The buttons are prone to bad contacts, or else it is the processor that manages that a poorly designed software, it is still often need to press a button twice instead of once for the action expected. I do not give an opinion on the DVD playback, I give the note essentially over CD playback.

gregorysaint's review (Sony - DVP-NS35)

I use this deck dvd only cd player connected to the receiver by the only available audio output, digital coaxial rca. Nothing wrong side of her. Recognizes almost all audio formats. The only downside: the very poor connectivity, 1 rca coaxial digital and one scart. That's it.

Purchased in 2002 to € 450. Slim size of the time, about 3.5 cm thick. Used as dvd cd player without any problems. Price quite high compared to the benefits, no compatibility with CD-R and MP3 for example. on the other hand, equipped with multiple output image and sound. Very reliable product. Kept in the state of new. No scratches. Facade aluminum and plastic glass type.
