E-MU's 1010 PCIe card is in stock and for sale on the www.creative.com webstore.
For those who already own the E-MU CardBus PCMCIA or PCI versions of the E-MU 1212M V2, 1616 or 1616M, E-MU now offers the new 1010 PCIe card as the move up to PCIe.
Note: The new 1010 PCIe card can not be used with the older 1212M V1 or the 1820/1820M AudioDock that used a 1010 PCIe card with a Firewire port on it.
By using a compact one lane PCI Express interface, E-MU’s new Digital Audio System PCIe cards have the high speed necessary for multi-channel audio transfer, compatibility with new high speed Windows PC motherboards, while allowing full compatibility with 1, 4, 8 and 16 lane PCI Express slots, the company says.
The Digital Audio System 1010 PCIe card includes PatchMix v2.2 and drivers that are compatible with Windows Vista, Windows Vista x64, Windows XP and XP x64. The hardware is PCIe base specification 1.1 compliant and, according to E-Mu, it has been tested to ensure mutual compatibility and interoperability with a wide variety of motherboards.
Also included with the 1010 PCIe card is a new Vista-compatible version of E-MU’s powerful Production Tools Software Bundle which is also included with all the new PCIe products, providing musicians with several PC audio and MIDI applications.
The Production Tools Software Bundle includes: Cakewalk SONAR LE 6.3, Steinberg Cubase 4 LE, Ableton Live Lite 6 E-MU Edition, IK Multimedia AmpliTube X-Gear, IK Multimedia T-RackS EQ (1616M only), Celemony Melodyne essential, Waldorf Attack, Waldorf D-Pole, Waldorf PPG Wave, SFX Machine LT, Creative EAX Advanced HD Alchemy (Vista only), E-MU Proteus VX
Buying E-MU accessories, sounds, and other products online: E-MU has transitioned all of its direct sales to the new www.creative.com webstore for sales of accessories items and ESC sounds. E-MU says some accessories items are still not yet available but will be added as they complete the transition.
