This guitar is a limited series from 2003 to 500 copies destined for Europe and Japan.
When I saw it in the store, I thought it was a custom shop!!
It has a mahogany body topped with a table in curly maple binding with a creamy white with very good taste.
The neck is maple, rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets and especially well finished an abalone tree of life in the same J-Custom.
The headstock which has the same finish as the body (sublime) boasts a mechanical oil bath Gotoh.
There are two specially designed DiMarzio pickups for Ibanez (which I found ways) that I, as a matter of taste, replaced by two (PRS HFS and Vintage Bass), one volume and one tone and a toggle switch 3 positions.
Vibrato is an Edge Pro Floyd.
The handle has the same profile as the Petrucci models (more round than the "Wizard").

UTILIZATION

The handle is extremely comfortable, access to acute very good, keeping perfect agreement even in abusing the Floyd.
The ergonomics are excellent, the weight of the guitar is still feel that one has a mahogany body (but not worse than a Les Paul Custom ...).
Sounds obtained with this guitar are excellent (both in clear that saturated) precisely because we have that mahogany (balance between roundness and accuracy) that I prefer personally to equivalent models with a body lime.

SOUNDS

Playing in absolutely any style, I need versatility, and I have no problem with this guitar.
I manage to get all the sounds I want without any problem: the sound of his jazz, metal, funk, blues and good old rock etc ... I still think that the microphones and the quality of their split are for nothing.
Is approached very strongly with this configuration, having long been compared, what can be achieved with a PRS CE24.
I use a Bogner Ecstasy 101B + Mesa 2x12 cabinet + a gaggle of pedals (I hate multi-effects), the result is great!
The original pickups are average compared to the overall quality of the instrument, so I think it should be considered a pair of microphones worthy of this guitar.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this guitar since October 2003 and I never tire of playing.
It's even my main guitar in dance ...
Guitars I've had a few: Start 'Ibanez RG570 and JS1200, Parker Fly Deluxe, Les Paul Std Tele ... but it has always been my Number One.
The aesthetic is perfect, it goes with his violin.
His faults are the weight, all the same relative, but is still feeling the benefits after 4 hours ... and the average quality of the original pickups.

For 1040 euros (!) (Without microphones PRS) is present ...
Its price / quality ratio is excellent obviously seen its low cost in terms of many qualities, and even considering a change of pickups, it remains at a very cheap rate.
It is a very pro guitar I do not regret the purchase.
The choice I would do as I promised myself that if one day, my wallet allows me, I find myself in the same blue ;-)
