« Ibanez SZ320 »

Simply said, I love this guitar. I bought at a local store here in Puerto Rico for $500.00. I said the seller that I wanted the best guitar I could afford for that price. Inmedately, he showed me the Ibanez SZ320, which it was listed at a higher price (yeah, taxes!); but because I had the money, he gave it to me for the 5.

First thing that I liked: the looks. It looks like a black PRS, and I like PRS shape. It doesn't have a whammy bar. GREAT!! I hate them. The Gibraltar bridge is simple and very effective for sustain, since it's string-thru-body-style. Second, the sound and tone. This guitar is very versatile in its sound. I play it through a Carvin SX-300 combo amp. The clean sounds are VERY good, specially with the neck 'bucker. I love the bright sound of a clean Strat; but for jazz, this Ibanez got me hooked, specially on solos. And then we got dirty and heavy with it. Ibanez means rock, and this baby has a VERY good tone, in both the bridge and the neck humbuckers. I'm very pleased with this guitar.

I can't say anything particular that I don't like about the Ibanez SZ320.

It's a 3-piece set neck guitar with rosewood fingerboard, a Gibraltar III fixed bridge, a Mahogany body with maple top, body and neck binding, a 25.1 scale (great for my short fingers), 2 Ibanez SZ humbuckers ansd medium frets.

This guitar deliver big time. With its diversity of use, no matter your style or experience, it's a great guitar for anyone, specially at that price.
