I used this headset for a little more than a year of tracking and also as supplementary listening to mix media. The headset is comfortable but had a tendency to overheat a bit my ears and shake my head. This headset is designed almost entirely with plastic, a few screws, etc ... and even glue. All I think is very fragile and should be handled carefully, mine did not survive more than two years. In addition, the automatic function that mutes the sound when removing the headset works much. No, this headphone does not have a flat response, the bass is back, but it is still usable and pleasant to listen. It isolates reasonably well and there is virtually no repisse, but is certainly not suitable for a tracker battery for example.

But eventually I fished out the 250 to get them. Originally I was not too happy with the design of them because I just felt like they were kind of too plain to cost that much money. But they kind of grew on me after a month or so because they look really clean. When it comes to comfort then these are the most comfortable that I think that I have ever had. The ear cups are very soft and they just fit right on your ear. I have even fell asleep before wearing these and didn’t wake up with a headache or uncomfortable. They truly feel amazing and when adjusted to the proper size you will not even notice that you have them on but you will feel the weight of them because they weight over 1 pound. When you are purchasing them you can pick which style of ear pads you want, I chose the leather ear pads but you can also choose velvet. But if I wanted to I could always change out the ear pads down the road because leather can get a weird feeling on your skin after too long so it might be nice to have a pair of velvet cups too especially now that these are my primary headphones now and the ones that I prefer over all of my other pairs. They are also the most expensive that I have purchase so I have to make sure that I protect them. The frequency range on them is 16 Hz to 28 kHz with a driver size of 30mm. The AKG K 271 comes with a 16 inch coil cable and a standard straight cable in 10 foot. You can change out your cables at any time because they are detachable.

I had a headphone with Denon, I forgot the ref ... but very good for hifi I kept it ten years (repisse_mais good spectral balance), in recording I used the Sony Mdr 7506 impressed me and I finally purchased thereafter while guaranteeing that the AKG I love it. What is so special that you love the most, least? + Comfort is obvious + The light weight (240g) + Headphones closed + Do not tire quickly tuned (low impedance: 55 ohms) + The spectrum (fairly neutral / do not flatter sound) sleazy bump in the mids, treble, bass well rendered. Response 16-28000 Hz + Ergonomics + Accessories shipped (smooth cord 3m and 5m twisted / leatherette and velvet ear ... and parts interchangeable if Hs) + If not cut his ears + Quality connectors (gold plated screwed) - No storage pouch - Given the size of the atria, not terrible to get around the neck - Not able to listen in one ear / sound off automatically - Repisse sleazy atmosphere in very quiet As'm writing in the title, first skeptical, my Denon 7506 and the sony mdr really flatters the sound (good bass, dynamics etc. ...) Limit initially disappointed (because any more objective!) ... Do not forget that this is a closed studio headphones ... for sound recording and mixing, and it is this perspective that I aquis.Je have wanted as neutral as possible .. I ended up buying the Sony MDR 7506 as a complement to its power, its low dynamic but it is much more tiring. after 2 years of use ... I love the AKG 271 mk 2 and the choice I would do without a doubt, contrary to initial ...

The clamping system is very efficient and convenient alternative wire phone type and foam parts are a good plus for this product. I use it for home recording made for singing rap, guttural cry, black metal vocals, guitars, basses, etc. .... great investment in a few months I m buying a second for colleagues.

What I like the most, its design, its trslger weight, comfort (very good!) Reasonable price. I have a Sony MDR-7506 for many years, and I was looking for a second headphone complment to the monitoring / mixing in a semi-professional studio environment. I chose the AKG after very many readings of tests and comparisons. I'll start with the positives: the sound is very clear prcis, flat, neutral properly (Not looking Hifi headphones here). The bass is a little low that's it. It is a closed headphone and very well off the sound outside. You your quiet;-) The AKG reproduces very well the left-right space. It's a bit droutant compared to elsewhere MDR-7506 is more "compact" in stro I think. This is true as told another opinion here that the sound is comparable to the MDR-7506, but I find it more "ramass (plus it later). Having spent a lot of time on the MDR I think that it will take me qq months adaptation, especially since I do not use that half the time (shared with MDR). Now flaws: It's one that exaspre me, and frankly I'm almost ready to sell it so takes my head (in the literal sense): the headphone cable is directly connected to the hull. However, it is completely hermtique (normal is a closed headphone. In fact, when the cable tappe the table, or chair, or lorqu'on touches the same cable means noise multiplied by 10,000 in the ears. It's just unbearable. The MDR has no default. Obviously, when we sound in the headphones means more noise, but listening not stop either! So you have to get to the cable away from any physical interfrence. Not easy. Then the volume: it is ridiculously low. It takes a pr-amp. But it's not a priority purchase in a small studio. The outgoing volume of my card (Audio Kontrol 1) is more than enough dfoncer my ears on the MDR-7506. Nothing of the sort with AKG. This is unfortunate because we feel the potential of the headphone, I not profit. So if you also use it to espriez DJ mixer, forget completely (well it is not the goal). Finally, very few seem low compared to prsentes MDR. That may be a big default MDR, but I was even pregnant and a hi-fi quality on which I can test my productions, and I feel the difference. Mdiums also seem a little weak compar MDR. Voil a rather long review, but I use my headphones so (several hours a day - so that the speakers are rarely kindlest) that I thought was important to share here. In conclusion: it is a very good headphones, the sound is very faithful, but lacks power and does not seem realistic in the bass. With a pre-amp and a shot of EQ (post-master) it should be perfect. Remains the default of hyper-nervant cable, you see. Compared the MDR-7506 seems more suited to monitoring, even if the latter almost too low too prsentes and compared the stro broadcast is poorer. My ct I'll see if I'll keep, at least a third complter the headphone, this time from the ultra-top level, a Sennheiser HD-650. But that's another price. Besides, if you do not have too many means, a tip: Save and invest a max in a very very good headphone. You will not regret it, and lasts for years. EDIT: I accuracy of all I'm doing electronic music (tech, electro, a little hip-hop, dubstep). If a help to understand me.

I love this headphone and it is only the closed version of 240. For a closed, I also found light to wear (relatively) than my 240. The system is really nice arches and ear headphones around me perfectly, like the other. For more cons AC heating is clear. The sound is consistent with what I expected. Law and cold. when I do not mix, I listen with the setting "classic" of itunes, it is a joy. About AKG is one of the only manufacturer to offer headsets with detachable cable (which pete first on a headphone is the cable), a set of headset and a spare cable is still very strong by compared to the competition. Imagine your headphone at 300 euros with a cable that starts to sizzle, then you loose. Annoying right? Do not expect too much use on an ipod on the other hand, the sound output is low, despite the 55 ohm displayed. In the same category, the Sony 009 is given as 34 ohms, but at first it makes no difference so far ... Also note that from 2010, AKG headphones are no longer manufactured in Austria but in CHINA: (. I went with the last of the store marked "made in autrichia above. So good, changing the line of manufacturing, personnel changes, always leaves ca glimpse of wiping plaster it all, if I were you I'll wait a bit before I start on the new ... I put my mind in some time to complement, but hey, not too surprised to wait a priori, if not his best after a break.

Overall there is nothing wrong but I find the low / medium low too withdrawn or conversely a high mid-range/tweeter too far. If we compare what has been low in this headset to most headphones general public and most of the general public as sound, there is one which reach far enough that people really home. I do not know whether this choice of "perfect" (I have my doubts) flatness bandwidth is appropriate to the views of current monitoring systems are equipped with more general set of sub 10db louder than the satellites accompany (?) If the monitoring are generally two lanes is because the public usually has 2-way speaker. If you listen to a mix with headphones ipod or walkman type headphones koss PortaPro there are 3 times more bass ... Although there is less loyalty and dynamic, but 3 times more low anyway for the general public ... is it reasonable to mix on a headphone that lacks low or rather the cash so we put in 3 times more than normal for a mix? I think a good monitoring system should take into account the listening public and to establish, in addition to its intrinsic qualities (bandwidth, dynamic, spatial ...) consistency with the monitoring systems of large public. Apart from the philosophical questions that make me ask this headphone, it deserves a good rating because the rest is flawless. Now I listened to some records that I love the heat and this headphone does not make it ... it bothers me a bit. I hope this is also a history of running. I'm going to swing with a good CD Heavy alternated a good mix of electro and see what happens after. I add this little comment one week after purchasing these headphones. The running is starting to bring results. Low more open and warm (soft) and acute, less scintillating ... the process of softening of the membrane appears to act. I completed with a mix for a corporate video (Voice-over, background music and small FX ..) It's ok! just 2 minor errors when I checked on my monitor and headphones wider audience (Koss): Boost 125Hz and exaggerated the cancellation of 200 Hz over exaggerated voice. Otherwise balance Voice / Music / Fx and general compression perfect! I will remain vigilant balance when the equalization of a mix with this headset but I think it may be very suitable for the volume and balance control of dynamics.

I tried different brands like seinnnheiser, professionnal sony, koss, and Vic Firth, but then I found that in terms of audio quality is impeccable akg. ◦ What thing do you like most/least about it? is a very good studio headphones, I found well balanced throughout the sound spectrum. Low: very precise and that does not blur medium: very well drilled in the mix acute: not explode in your mouth has piercing the timpani. little more there is a switch that allows when removing the headphone off the sound, and the headphone by its structure, is comfortable to wear. I use it primarily as monitoring headphones to make my mix on Pro Tools. with a m-audio usb interface ultra 8r, the various track and left right stereo effects emerge very well. ◦ What is your opinion about the value for the price? Sounds a bit expensive for a studio headphones (139 €) but when you love it does not count. ◦ Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ... as I said before, it makes little time that I have but from what I've seen or heard rather should I say, know-how is the akg appointment. still more to see the durability of HP.
