I use the HD 25 from 99 taken his first and now live sound.

I love this headphone is an everyday tool, it is robust, many people unfortunately march on, but it still works ...
It is closed so it is really well insulated from the outside ... I just use it on holiday in Malaysia to catch her in the jungle with a portable DAT and 2 small microphones, c is really great for contrler everything that happens ...

Without hesitation, my choice is turned over to the robustness and quality of listening in noisy environments for the live and I am not disappointed. We hear all the details, Low hit very hard from the first listen it was the slap! on the other hand I keep my old Sony home or home studio as much neutral. But once in the hands one understands why this headphone is a reference for years!

Say what you want, but this is simply the best headphones in the world.

Why?

Just because it meets all the requirements of the headphones.

The low impedance gives a dynamic and incredible responsiveness.

Update: I use this headset for almost two years in various situations.

The headphone has the enormous advantage of being perfectly positioned on the top of your head and this thanks to a hoop that can be more or less "gap" (see photo). Result: excellent comfort. In terms of sound quality, no complaints: excellent sound, clean, clean ... excellent performance, but a little too generous in the bass.

Once placed on the head, you end up alone ... with your music or sound recording, even at a very low noise level, you are completely isolated in this headphone noisy sound environment is therefore wonders.

Other interesting details: the headphone is completely disassembled, the left leg is articulated, many options are available ... The packaging is well done ...

At the "disadvantages": its advantages are its flaws. The headphones isolate background noise and to do it a little greenhouse. If it goes unnoticed without glasses, with it's painful. The cable is short which is great to use as a DJ since we do not get tangled in it, in the studio or if you need some freedom of action it quickly becomes annoying, but changing the cable remains possible. I use this headset for about two years, with video monitoring (on camra) mainly, and sometimes on TV set.

What is very apprciable: sound insulation from the trs important collection outdoor (I had tried other headphones, none afforded such attnuation). Side of the mdaille: a relatively strong pressure on the ears. Another strong point is understood well trs attack - a real magnifying glass.
Personally, I like the short cable and plug jack 3.5 elbow. Suitable for DV camra, not tearing it, do not dtruit the socket of a camra ds plerin password cot practice in the demos .
It finally offers an efficient trs, which allows a proper level without pushing the headphone amplifiers Camre, often quite lame. It can be a powerful amplifier with inconvnient: the potentiomtre RULES is a dixime turn.

What is Gnant: it is frankly gnreux in the lower. In video, with microphones and 70Hz limits vote, not a problem. In the end, a headphone use pro destiny SPECIFICATIONS trs. Gnial for what I do. To avoid me in the studio. The ratio quality-price is right. Those are just a few budget will turn to the HD25-SP, cheaper, enough for ENG use, but I think less robust and comes with a cable from 3M of 6.35mm jack. I would do without this choice hsiter.

I use it only for the mix on turntables and I think this headset is quite simply a must-REFERENCE.

In terms of sound, nothing wrong ... the sound is crystal clear! In addition, the insulation against noise-trs collection outdoor allows you to mix low volume in the headphones and so prolong the life of our Pitit zoreilles!

Cot practice, the headphone is good and the head stays in place. I wear glasses and I do not t gn by the headphone. J'hsitais between an HD 25 and HD 25 SP but I quickly saw the diffrence in sound and most importantly, the possibility of replacing all the spices of the HD 25.

In short, this headset is perfect for the use I make (mix) and I would do the same choice without hsiter.
Dipstick bought to life ... so the price is worth it!
