Summing mixer from SSL

Public price: $4,499

SSL will debut tomorrow at Musikmesse the new Sigma analogue summing mixer remote controlled by a DAW, available in a 2U rack format.

Sigma is designed for studios and home studio equipped with a DAW which will remote control the mixer via Ethernet MIDI. It can also be controlled by a software interface installed on an iDevice.

Sigma uses the MDAC control technology (also used on the SSL Duality and AWS consoles) and support automation data created in the DAW.

Specifications:

  • SSL SuperAnalogue engine driven by any DAW automation
  • 16 mono/stereo switchable inputs (32 inputs for mixdown)
  • Level meters on every channel
  • 2 stereo mix busses with individual stereo insert points
  • Ability to routing mix bus B to mix bus A for final mixdown
  • Direct outputs for every input
  • Monitoring section with headphone and monitor outputs
  • Monitoring with up to 2 speaker sets
  • Large push encoder for adjusting Mix A, Mix B, Main Monitoring or Headphone levels
  • Talkback input with adjustable DIM
  • MIDI Learn function
  • Ethernet port for MIDI control
  • Compatible with most of the current DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase/Nuendo, Samplitude/Sequoia, Soundscape…)
  • Software interface that allows for remote control from an iDevice
