With the XDJ-1000, Pioneer removes CDs from the DJ setup so they’ll mix only songs stored on a USB drive.
The Pioneer XDJ-1000 is the very first DJ player equipped with a USB port to play music and a WiFi connection to access the files stored on a computer, a smartphone or a tablet. Note that the XDJ-1000 can charge USB-connected devices.
The player is compatible with the Pioneer rekordbox software and app, as well as with Serato DJ via USB-HID. It also supports MIDI. Along with the two USB type A and B ports, the XDJ-1000 features a Link LAN 100Base-TX connector, RCA audio outputs and an 1/8” Control connection. It supports MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF audio formats.
Also new on this model is the integration of a 7” touch LCD color display that allows DJs to browse and search files in the sound library, with the built-in QWERTY virtual keyboard, keywords and artwork display functions. The GUI also offers two other Play and Perform sections.
DJs using rekordbox will see the beat counter with countdown of up to 64 bars, waveform display with x5 zoom, phase meter and key analyzer. They can also set a color code for their playlist in the software/iOS or Android app, it will be reflected on the device.
The XDJ-1000 retains various features from the CDJ-200NX, including the 206mm jog wheel, Slip mode, Quantize and Tempo Sync features, but Pioneer innovates with a quantized Beat Jump / Loop Move feature that allows jumps of 1, 2 or 4 bars forward or backward within a loop.
The XDJ-1000 will be available at the end of November for the suggested street price of EU 999€ incl. taxes. Visit pioneerdj.com for more info.
