Pro Tools users will soon be able to add to their processor collection the Crane Song Peacock vinyl emulation plug-in.

The Peacock plug-in is still in a non public beta version but according to the first information provided by Crane Song on its website, it is designed to add a smoother and fatter sound to your productions on Pro Tools 10 and 11.

You can use it on a stereo bus and control the harmonics, the dynamics (both controls interact to control the level of harmonic content) and the color. The latter is a 5-way switch that modifies the medium/low frequencies and the compression (high frequencies).

A Dither control is also present to add noise and modulate some of the internal functions.

Peacock is still under development, an AAX version is expected soon for Pro Tools on Mac, the Windows version will follow. You can already listen to audio demos at www.cranesong.com
