I played with this amp for 1 year and I find no exceptional tou
The clear sound is good as long as we do not Exceeds half the gain after ca saturates, which does not allow dlivrer great power.
The crunch sound more like saturation qua sound of crunch time by the thrust gain a background
there is little difference between the crunch and the lead.
Only the lead sound is more than adequate to my gov.

I was a bit dessu in Essayan with a friend, I was atendai beacou mieu of by a marshall,

UTILIZATION

In use, this amp is simple with a trs equalizer per channel as well as a gain, too Submitted on each channel.
It is the simplicity and especially the effectiveness Marshall same. [/ B]
The buttons are quite prcis and yield "MARSHALL SOUND" without difficulty.
A superb pdalier accompanies bte with a switch for each channel (3), the rverbe and effects loop.

SOUNDS

For a tube amp the clean sound is excellent, warm and deep. probably the best clean sound of the Marshall game.
Saturation it, .. that mean? .. IT'S HIS BIG ROCK MARSHALL !!!!!
A warm, powerful, that smells of ACDC full nose!

OVERALL OPINION

I use this amp for two years and I can say that for anyone who seeks it's so warm and natural rock, this amp is his soulmate.
in terms of price, ca dpend scholarships, but for what its mythical it's cheap!

UTILIZATION

-Some features of prampli can be bewildering to beginners, as the presence of potentiometer (but if you're used marshall amps, it's not a problem), and shift knobs and deep, abruptly changing something in the sound, but it's hard to say what exactly (in fact shift, I have still not found. otherwise it's pretty simple between the gain and equalization ..
-The system of channels 3 and 2 EQ is not bad at all
-The "good" sound, it was fast enough, we can not say that the EQ are very sensitive on this amp
-The manual is simple, and very (too) short.

SOUNDS

-In the clear is the panacea: excellent amp, surprising for the marshall who has the reputation to abandon the clear sound! subtilis by any game is felt, if I had to keep a channel of the amp, would certainly have this one!
It's crunch: one wonders what comes to this channel ... therefore it is sufficient to increase the gain of the channel clear for a real crunch, Marshall brings us here a kind of distortion feeble and dying as a second channel ... probably more expensive to sell this amp as DSL models who are not team .. Finally, good!
It's lead: the it's heavy! It is true that the distortion of the JCM 2000 is more "rock" than anything else, but what a rock! I see little deficiencies: lack of energy (hence the cot more rock than aggressive I think)
-Short, I play it with a Les Paul, and I get a very round and warm sound in clear and fairly bold, a little but not too powerful (a particular gives when pushed to its limits!) In his lead.

Good quality-price ratio, because good quality amp lamps and very affordable. The DSL is free of this stupid and crunch channel is much cheaper, if I have one regret is not having bought the DSL401 rather, I economy a little.

This amp is a marvel ...
What I liked about this amp is its behavior with diffrent scratch. It is such a precision it is all default resort and all the qualities of the guitar used. The legalization is effective but has a point. And if you are not yet convinced to try it !!!!!! go on the site will also see Marshall WHO IS PLAYING OVER ...

I use it for 3 days and as many say that the change was important because without a MG15CDR a TSL 601 is like moving from a rotten 2 horses that failed to pass the technical inspection F1.
I like everything.
I paid 650 euros and it works OCCAZ nickel in nickel!

I play mainly Maiden and Metallica, and I just found the Holy Grail! The perfect sound, for me! Perfect for metal old school 80's. Playing Hallowed be thy name in the store ca sounded almost like maiden, and also for other songs, like MoP Metallica of course! BONTON with "deep" one, ca really dig the sound and the amp really a lot of potatoes!
In short, for those looking for an amp for metal old school, I think this one is perfect, for me it is!
For the clean sound, it is good, but more certainly because of the guitar that I was not a clean sound obtnue fambloyant!

- I tested it with an Ibanez RG 320, not a high end guitar, but the sound chippers good anyway!

- Crystal clear sound clean enough I would say that crunch with the gain to more than 3 / 4, a dynamic distortion, with a lot of heat ... yummy!

- I tested, Peavy studio pro 112, bandit 112. Bogie Mesa Mark IV. Marshall DSL 401. Hughes & Kettner Matrix 100, 20th anniversary. But for me the best is: Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 401.

- Quality / price ratio, excellent at € 985 here in Finland (yes I live here), I think it's an excellent price for the perfect amp!

- So I did not, but for sure I would have one day there will be my favorite amp for a very very very long time !!!!!

Good update on my Stratocaster US, the typical sound strategic + marshall in "small"

overall dception big is better than the MG100 DFX (with tube emulation) but little, the clear sound is a bit warmer but still trs flat, the distortion is kind marshall ( I like a) but not exceptional for a marshall.

OVERALL OPINION

The sound is not worth four times the price of its MG100DFX (ffd circuit switched course), is in fact a true almost.
for the entry-level tube, I opt for a mesa boogie express 5:25 in, excellent in every way.
True, the STL provides a marshall type distortion (a type of distortion that I love and that is not possible on the mesa) but I'll wait to return to Marshall, you can pay me the range above history that the diffrence with the MG100 is more empty.

UTILIZATION

Nothing wrong. This is an amp, not a rocket ...

SOUNDS

These are interesting things. I come from an old transistor amp 30w Leaney. It's like moving from a camping Palace 5 paintings . I use a Fender Highway One and not much else really. No effect (sometimes a small multi-effects Zoom in series to the gate). Just the internal reverb bte.

Clean channel. It's not the sound of Fender amps for sure. Not crystalline. R-Play "Do not Cry" Guns make you an ide. It corresponds to what I've read elsewhere.

Crunch. Gain 3 or 4 / 10. One approach sounds style intro Paradise City (Guns of same). But the highlight of the channel, pushed to 7, 8 or 10/10, it's the AC / DC seventies. We believe it. Sidr. Opinions differ on that channel, but I love.

Full channel distortion. The one is in the Iron Maiden Premire PERIOD without effort. Listen to R-2 minutes 2 midnight to see what I mean. It is. In full. By adjusting the settings, you can reach a more "heavy", latest issue by digging out the mids. But beware, Trasher, on your way. Can not get sound heavy trs. The range of sound from this amp is more ACDC, Iron Maiden and Metallica and Slayer not.

OVERALL OPINION

A joy, but it depends on what you are looking ...

Even when it is not cheap (1000), but I tried the same period (6 months ago) every lamp 500 amps - and this not the same thing - at all ...

Weakness may be: no headphone jack. I use the XLR jack with speaker simulation, to enter a small Gearbox (line 6) and infrared headphones. Need the PC on - but it works.

This is one of the last great combos that Marshall had built. These were a great sounding amps that has a very dynamic feel and organic tone that was very usable in many different applications. These amps were the a little bit of the JCM2000 DSL but had the extra channel. People didn't like the TSL as much and felt that the tone wasn't and blossoming as the DSL. I would have to agree but it does sound better than the JVM series amps that Marshall is doing now.

SOUNDS

This is not a modeling amp so you won;t have choice of a bunch of different amp tones or models. Also this is not an amp that will do any effects. So You cannot get delays, chorus, phaser, or flangers built into the amp. This amp does has some reverb so that is the only type of effect that comes built within the amp itself.

This amp has a decent clean tone and tales pedals very well. You get a good chimy tone not like a Fender but more like a better sounding plexi tone. Unlike a lot of clean channels in amps that may have a high gain channels as well the clean won't take distortion pedals very but this one does with pride. You also get a good crunch channel that sounds great and very usable for a general music or covers tone. The third channel or lead channel shares the same EQ with the crunch channel. So whatever you have set there will transfer over to the lead. This is designed for soling and lead tones.

OVERALL OPINION

These amps have been discontinued for a while now. They have been replaced by the JVM series amps which is my opinion are not nearly as good as the TSL or DSL series amps. This is an amp that you can pick up on the used market for right around $500. Not a bad price for a good working combo v=all valve tube amp.

I bought it out of spite (history voucher) di I saw the price and it has been a marshall ca!
Not at all since I bought it I have not stopped trying to sell it!
Also I use even more distortion of the amp the sound was so soft
I get a jcm 900 and then we see a sacred difference!
In addition it's a pain to move it. It is heavy bulky and fragile.
I advise anyone to buy this amp but rather to find a head over a small 2 * 12 cabinet
