Currently connected to the VOX 112TV cabinet

    SOUNDS

This little amp suit every style of music. At worst pedal more for metalheads ... But he swallows fine pedals and incredible sound "sculptable to wish."

ALL sounds can almost out .. crisper and Christallin in saturated fat and more. I play it with a Stratocaster Am Special "special microphones tex" waiting for my Deretour Lp customization. Tested with my fasle wah and a boss ds-1 and ca goes alone.

I love this amp saturation changing impression by AC / British / U.S. mode.

"Ability to play at low volume with Gain and Volume."

    OVERALL OPINION

    I've had a week.

I have a VOX AC4TV, tested a peavey rage 15w, a tiny terror head, an AC15 bluesJunior a fender, a haze marshall, fender mustang ....

I appreciateany most is the ability to change the sound of the amp with different switch.

Unbeatable value for money ... 3 sounds kind AC / British / U.S. + We get the finest settings ... what heads limit purchases of multiple amplifiers.

I would do this choice without hesitation.

Previous opinions perfectly reflect what I think of this "small" head. I confirm everything that has been written.
I have owned many tube amps (Fender, Vox, Bugera). I found the "voice" with this little Egnater. It is my preference, certainly.
Versatile, powerful, I played with a 10-inch cabinet with a Eminence Lil'Buddy, it's mind-blowing! It is insensitive to ambient electromagnetic interference. This is significant when playing with single coils.

A defect? No reverb ... with what had been 10/10.

I can only advise. A wise investment ...

    an amp that defies competition

Single-channel all-tube amp 15 watts with effects loop to connect 16ohnms.

    1) switch clean / hot: great, in reality it is not so single channel it since it offers both clean sounds and distorted sounds.

    2) switch U.S. / AC / BRIT: more interesting to you available three different amp types: U.S. = fender / Vox AC = / = BRIT Marshall.

Summarized thus: 3 amps in one that can be played either clean or in full, it is therefore six basic sounds!

The other 3 voicings can also refine more precisely the desired sound:

    - Switch vintage / modern, the modern mode switch enhances bass and treble

    - Switch Deep / tight: the deep to sound a bit "muddy" the tight for a more accurate sound.

    - Switch normal / bright to add brilliance to the sound.

    Hello versatility!

    UTILIZATION

Despite its many settings that might frighten some, note that the tweaker is completely intuitive, easy to use and has nothing of a gas plant. It is even a real tour de force managed by the brand, dock tweaker is plug and play, it is immediately and easily a good sound to such an extent that does not spend his time turning knobs.

    SOUNDS

So there is total ecstasy both in saturated clean.

You can switch between a clean sound to knopfler / gilmour saturax the way to Metallica and others in no time with stunning realism!

Jazz, blues, country, classic rock (the clean channel with the gain pushed produces fabulous Crunches to keith richards / black crowes), hard rock and heavy metal.
Nothing can resist him! It's hard to believe that a single amp can be as good as whatever the style played hard to find fault.

Two other issues that to me are important:

    1) the tweaker is "pedal friendly", a true platform pedal.
The distortion and overdrive pedals that you make are transfigured in front (I gave my old Ibanez TS 9, I did not recognize!) And still allow to increase the versatility of the combo. I tested with a high gain pedal quality (Suhr Riot) slap! I had the impression of being in another amp, the sound boogiie / soldano if you know what I mean ... A killing.

    2) It sounds great at low volume! you still keep the dynamics of the tube. For my part, my late hours, I balance on clean mode with the volume and gain set low and I do saturate with a pedal (fulltone plimsoul) which I regulates the sound volume, and it does it very well !

    OVERALL OPINION

It is simple in this category, I do not see any amp even compete in the sounds produced.

For me this is a plebiscite.

Big sounds from a small box

Egnater Tweaker HeadPublished on 08/31/12 at 17:11
15 watts of... everything? The Egnater Tweaker operates on a pair of 6v6's. It's single channel offers an array of toggle switches to refine your tone. You can choose between three different settings which emulate names such as Mesa, Marshall, and Vox (called USA, Brit, and AC--respectively). The inclusion of an effects loops is a great touch.

    UTILIZATION

The tone controls are very responsive. The amp's many toggles allow for a large variety of sounds. The amp played very well with pedals and I had no troubles at all with the effects loop (unlike certain other amps I own). Even at 15 watts the amp is very loud.

    SOUNDS

Played with a gibson Les Paul Standard and an Explorer traditional Pro. 1x12 Egnater cab. No pedals.

The Brit, AC, and USA settings do a good job at capturing the flavors represented. The "clean" mode had plenty of gain available. Switching to "Hot" mode carried on where the other left off, offering a surprising amount of aggression. The amp lost quite a bit of clarity as the volume increased. I discovered that the amp responds quite differently dependent on the guitar chosen. The Les Paul Standard I played through it sounded very tame and dapper compared to the Explorer and sometimes sounded muffled. The explorer sounded much more articulate with gain and seemed to retain more clarity at higher volumes as well.

    OVERALL OPINION

The Tweaker is a wonderful amp for the price. Compared against the Tweaker 40 and 88 models, I enjoyed the 15 the most. It retained more character than the other amps, which seemed too ambitious in their feature sets to deliver. Do not expect the Tweaker to sound all that close in its impersonations of a Marshall or a Vox--but with a decent delay and a boost, the amp will come close enough for most.

    Best for the money

Egnater is one of those companies that has quickly climbed into one of the top positions of the amplifier building world. Their amps are highly sought after primarily due to there modules and small wattage amps. People have gone crazy over these modules in recent years and for good reason, they are very versatile and fantastic sounding. They have also done a spectacular job at designing small combo or head amp that are low wattage and excellently priced.

    SOUNDS

This amp is clearly the most versatile amp for the money that I have ever come across. You get the regular rundown of EQing of bass, middle and treble. You then get in addition to that a tight and deep switch for adding better low end or just tightening it up a bit. Then you get a normal or bright switch which adds about 5 db to the volume of the amp. Next you have clean or hot switch which adds about 8 db's to the volume of the amp. Then you have a mini switch that changes the voicing of the amp. You have three modes for this operation. You have a US mode for Fender like tones, then you have a Ac setting, and finally a British setting for the higher gain mode. The finally you have a mini switch for vintage and modern voicing. So the tonal versatility of this amp is just endless. you can find anything you are looking for with this amp. The only thing that is missing is the presences control knob. That would have just set it all off.

    OVERALL OPINION

At new these amps come in at around $399, which is just a plain stupidly low price. I can't believe they are selling it for that low of a price. this is an amp that you would like to just have around for that price. If you ever get tired of the tone you got from your current rig and need to mix it up a bit then this is a cheaper gas fix then a new Bogner or Diezel amp.

How to get a good sound? A guitar, a jack and just plug everything ...
The various switches are really there for something. The difference is heard when you move the position (I say this because it is not always the case in certain brands ...) I would not say it's a simple amp (it has more than 3 buttons ...) but it's still far from a gas plant ... I found my sound pretty quickly. But it may spend hours trying various configurations with various guitars, pedals, etc. ...

    Manual? Who's that?

    SOUNDS

I bought this amp without knowing the brand and not really knowing what I could expect ... No info on the net and rotten videos on youtube ...
Well I was, fortunately, very pleasantly surprised. Many different possibilities of his head with this. On its edge with the U.S. mode to sound very "soft" on the AC mode. I would even say we can do this with the metal head. It will perhaps not as clean a Engl or whatever, but there is still winning. To see exactly what the switch I let you go on the website of the brand.

I play without any pedals with Duesenberg guitars that has a double in bridge and a P90 in the heats. Putting myself on the clean sound of the amp, it sounds nice coming out. Very warm and defined. I've never tried it with a Start, but I guess it must be pretty good. With the switch you can have the clanquant or otherwise.

This is somewhat the same principle with the disto. Sound can be aggressive and modern with the switches on U.S., Tight and bright as any move towards an AC30 with other high-fat trimmings. The three-position switch US / CA / Brit is very very good job.

Me I play the big rock / stoner and I got very quickly to find my sound. Provided on a 1x12 "as a 4x12" it sounds superbly.

I think this amp can easily do everything from blues, jazz, rock, heavy, stoner, etc. ... Maybe not advisable for the trash or death metal ...

    OVERALL OPINION

When I brought the head again, the Zikos had a little smile seemed to say "what's that tin can ..." Well he took on the chin when I started playing ... I cover the drummer no problem at noon in volume and earnings.

Very versatile amp. I think it should be in the studio like a fish in water.

I had tons of different amps (mesa, engl, marshall, peavey, orange, bugera, Soldano, Diezel, etc. ...) I finally stayed on an orange head RV50. I bought the Egnater rather for home ... But finally I use more rehearsal than an orange.

For the price I got was the best deal I made in my entire life in amps. Incredible value for money.

Jean-Pierre and yes I would do without hesitation that choice!

How Does The TUBE MIX work and Why Does The amp get louder With The knob set to around 12:00?
The tube works by routing mix The audio signal to one pair of output tubes, The Other pair of output tubes gold mix of The Two peers. All furnace power tubes are always on and "idling". How Much of You adjust your guitar signal gets routed to EACH pair of tubes TUBE MIX knob With The. The Reason The volume increaser Slightly At The mid setting IS Simply Because The signal Is Being routed to all furnace tubes & the combined output of furnace tubes IS Going To Be Greater Than Two. This Is Also The maximum power output setting WHERE IS Realized.

The cabinet is a semi-open back with an 8ohm Celestion G12H30 speaker rated at 30 watts.

    UTILIZATION

Great sounds are easily obtainable with this amp. Using the three-position voice switch and mild EQ tweaks, you can immediately go from blackface Fender type (USA) clean sounds to edge of break-up Vox AC30 type (AC) sounds to balls to the wall Marshall Plexi type (Brit) tones and everything in between. It really is that versatile. Factor in the tight and bright switches which offer further customisation and the vintage/modern switch which alters the overall response of the power amp and a Hot/Clean switch which offers 9dB of gain boost taking you into high gain territory and you can indeed be Tweaking. The controls do exactly as they say and nothing they don't which makes dialling in tones a breeze.

Oh, and did I mention you can drop in any octal power tubes you like? 6L6s for a more Fendery vibe? Sure! EL34s for a more Marshall voice? Absolutely! Definitely one for Tweakers!

    SOUNDS

The sounds themselves are rich and complex sounding and befitting of an amp of a much higher price tag. A personal favourite tone of mine is in AC mode with the amp set to clean and the gain maxed. This setting with a Tele is Brad Paisley heaven. Another is a Les Paul into Brit mode with the Hot switch selected. Gain anywhere beyond 12 o'clock and you're looking at a roaring Marshall tone in a 15w lunchbox head. Switch in EL34s and you really capture that vibe. The beauty is that whilst it doesn't get all the way there on any of the sounds in terms of absolute authenticity, the most important features are there and they make for a very satisfying overall experience of playing and hearing the amp.

    OVERALL OPINION

For the money, I don't believe this amp can be matched. The package is well built and offers a lot of versatility. The speaker is perfectly matched to the head in terms of power handing and tonal output and when you really start to delve into the amp you can see that it would be at home in a lot of musical situations.

    A very fine amplifier!
