UTILIZATION

Its a Mesa, its freaking pain to dial in. the Manual is great, but it doesn't make it easier, it looks nice and is pretty simple as far as Mesa's go. Its really just like a baby recto to me, just not as good

SOUNDS

Well, this is tough. I really don't like it, I wanted to like it, because well...its a cheap mesa, but it really just doesn't live up to its name...the burn channel...well...it really burns...thats for sure. I think its just a baby recto, with cheaper parts and just doesn't sound as good, its loose and fizzy and just doesn't do anything a real recto would very well. The only thing I found this amp was really even kind of good at was fuzzy kind of lead sounds. It was really just an OK amp at best, it CAN do stuff, just not up to par with anything else by Mesa and for the price I'd rather have a bunch of other stuff.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall, its just really a pretty piece to look at, if you REALLY want a mesa, maybe this is the way to go, but I found this sub par and lifeless in comparison to pretty much everything else by them and I suggest looking elsewhere for an amp.

Trs easy to use, the manual is clear and offers the same rglages done everything ...
like any amp you have to make test before finding his own sound ...

SOUNDS

Blues, distortion for blues and rock sounds, warm and well rounded. Approaches the crunch but with a big sound and more suntain

Burn, heavy distortion for rock, hard rock and a little more violent but not at all limited to the mtal and more ... Rglage background can make the most hardcore, the sound is standard and well rounded, you can have dirty or disto disto clear and we understand all the notes but with much gain ...

Personally, I am a hardcore band, I play a ESP viper, I use the crunch channel 1 in the channel bottom and nearly burn to 3 / 4. In group allows me to have two disto Different. The plus is the contour indpendant on each channel, giving a boost to his standard, the channel group burn it allows me to make solo without using a volume or pdalle qualiseur ... a real rgale, I will liken him to a chorus pedals style embellished Whereas the sound. In the clean and crunch like this, lets get rev good sound, all with added reverb indpendante foot on each channel are obtained trs ... good sound.

I also use it in further training with a more jazzy archtop Hagstrom H800. I use the CH1 and CH2 clean blues, allows for a super clear sound with reverb and a boost to the contour + a little distortion for a more rockabilly with boost and reverb too ...

OVERALL OPINION

has been a year since I use it in RPET and concert, a particular feature is its versatility.
I tried many other models in the same price, marshall, peavey, ENGL, H & Kettner ... but his level and I use my c'tait prfr.
Systm 5Watt 50Watt & Son is very practical because to have sound with the lamp you have to play hard and it's hard 50Watt home ...
