    Outstanding Turntable For The Money

    Numark Pro TT2Published on 10/23/18 at 17:22
I have owned a Numark Pro TT 2 since 2002, using it almost daily, since (It is October, 2018 as I write this). I got mine for a bargain price of $175, including a cartridge, as it had been a display model for a store that was going out of business. I don't do any hip-hop or scratching type stuff with it, I have strictly used it for normal purposes; listening to music, as well as copying several thousand records for burning onto CD's or making MP3's. It's sturdy, reliable, have never had a minute's trouble with it. I have used the Technic turntables at several radio stations I formerly worked at; I'd argue this one is very comparable in performance and quality. I can honestly think of no ne…

I use it for 4 years and never a worry!
Trs tough, reverse mode trs INTERESTED now because there is not on the MPC1000!

Trs qualitprix good value, I had paid just under 6000 francs a pair of era, all my pay goes to silent, but who cares, they never let me default is far l.
I tried the mk2, the ttx, the vestax, gemini's, and I love the mix tt2, like how every taste are in nature!

How long have you use it?
I use it in Hip Hop for 3 years.

What is so special that you like best?
-The chrome finish of the Erie Limited
    The neoprene-felts!
    -The backlit display

What is so special that you like the least?
    - No possible settings of the feet!
    Some, too heavy!

With experience, you do again this choice? ...
    Eyes closed!
How would you rate the quality / price?
Satisfactory at the time (old price 3600 F)
    Currently, super interesting opportunity!

Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Yes, models of crap belt ... to technics MK2

Better than the pro tt1, no default on the arm (connections with the bearing of arms clulle and more reliable) but over time (3 years) loss of performance, almost nothing but the same feeling when .

yes I tried a lot of decks and I was more a try, it's not a bad deck pro tt2, it's a little gadget but have nothing to envy those competing and those younger sisters, trs in handy mix and scratch it just did not have the same feel and precision of the technics pitch (the turntablists the feel) but it does not prevent power worked enjoyable.
With the exprience I will take just be, I tried everything ...

I use it for about a year,
+ what I love is that you can see on the LCD screen the level of the pitch (useful mix)

what I like least: the cells easily jump (plateau asser unstable) and the motor torque is a little low
I try a lot of platinum is not my prfre deficits for two reasons above ... Now I see more a problem of the arm must be removed / reset the cell sometimes has not read because the sound in Stereo

The quality price ratio remains correct (even if better than gemini or other)

with the exprience I would do not have that choice but I would rather TT500

I put 7 because you can not put 6.5 and 6 is too little;)

For how long have you been using it?

I own since 2002. use a background since 2003 and I stopped using them in 2009, they still work!

Did you try many other models before getting this one?

    the Technics

What thing do you like most/least about it?

They have traveled extensively and have been abused on all points, and they still work! Pitch is nice and cool finish! However the training is not powerful, that's why I stopped using them, but they can be interesting for a beginner or a dj for a tow in the evening

What is your opinion about the value for the price? A bit expensive in Argus is pretty amazing! may be the next performance, or collector ... I do not really know.

Say they have had their day! and they have done their time, after years of djiing I need anything else but they can perfectly suit a beginner

This turntable has all the features of the standard 1200 but also has a few unique features. like an LCD screen. and a wider range of picth control. also has a reverse function, but who uses that anyway?!

    Price paid

    315

sound quality? this is a turntable. the cartridge and needle determine the sound quality.

    dead easy to use.

all metal tone arm. appears to have a plastic base.

i love my pair and glad i didnt buy overpriced techs.

These "features" are all gimmicks.....a turntable has one job, and one job only.....to spin a record at a given speed. That's all. Reverse? who cares. Wider pitch range? All a wider pitch range does is make it HARDER to zero in on a certain speed. +/-8% is all you really need, any more or less is not necessary. And that LCD screen is also useless, as the pitch display isn't completely accurate.

On the contrary to the above review, the quality of wiring and circuitry inside the table DOES have something to do with sound quality. After using my Stanton Trackmaster RS cartridges on both my 1200's and the TT-2's, I noticed a decrease in sound clarity and bass extension.

Of course it's easy to use. drop a record, press the start button.

This is obviously another table that has aspired, yet failed, to be a 1200. As with all 1200 wannabes, the platter is much lighter and easier to stop with my index finger (same with PDX-2000's). The chassis is not as durable, and I would be surprised to see this table in ANY club/bar/rave. It's still better than most other junk tables out there, but it IS NO 1200.

I, like many others, found some of the gimmicks fun to mess around with for a little while. But after a few hours of spin/skratch time, I began to doubt the LONG TERM durability of this product. Long after this table sh*ts the bed, my 1200's will still be faithfully doing their job. And 1200's are only $50 more/ piece than these TT-2's. IT IS WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY. If you're gonna drop $800/pair for decks, what's another $100????
