Embertone has released Leonid Bass, and offers a bundle deal on the entire Intimate Solo Strings collection for both new customers and previous ones.

Leonid Bass is finally here, and we now have all the details! With almost 6,000 samples for a total size 4.2GB installed (counting both 16 & 24-bit versions), Leonid Bass captures the sound of an Italian upright bass made in the 1700’s played by North Carolina Symphony’s bassist Leonid Finkelshteyn, the whole sampled “capturing more detail and articulation content than in past releases” according to Embertone. It features true legato programming, true Portamento’s, con Sordino, sul Ponticello and pizzicatos modes. Plus, it’s made for use with the free Kontakt Player, so you don’t even have to own the full Kontakt version to use it in the best conditions.

Leonid Bass is available now for $125. More details (and some sound samples) at Embertone’s website.

But this is not all: as the 4th release in Embertone’s Intimate Strings series, Leonid Bass builds from the work from Friedlander Violin, Blakus Cello and Fischer Viola; so, it feels only natural all four would be taken together in a bundle, right? This bundle is available now for $375, a 25% saving compared with purchasing each of the four included libraries individually. But, what if you already own one or more of the four? Well, in that case go to this page, fill the form and wait for a discount code to arrive in your mail box reflecting what you already own, so you don’t have to pay twice for the same and still can benefit from the bundle offer.
