Published on 03/15/13 at 01:46My choice was made with the offer of pro tools 9 software bundle provided
and the free update to version 10.
I use it with my Clavinova CVP303 but especially with virtual instruments.
My future plans are musical soundtracks, documentaries.
My config:
Asus Sabertooth 990FX Motherboard
AMD FX8350
32gb 1600mhz Ram
SSD120 go Vertex 3
Windows 8 Pro (32 to go)
Pro Tools HD 10.Complète compose and Vienna ensemble pro eastwest
3 hard disks of 1.0 to 1.5 and 500 to go.
UTILIZATION
The drivers are stable even under Windows 8.
I use pro tools course in version 10.3.2.
On the type of card you can only use two tracks.
Anyway I only use virtual intrumemts
those of Pro Tools and the full HD eastwest composer.
There is my clavinova CVP303 is plugged into the two audio inputs.
On latency I do not feel a listen.
GETTING STARTED
The installation was no problem
The manual is simple.
The only incompatibility I found
is that the port is USB 1.1.
This does not bother me in any way if the standby
Windows was not a concern since the card no longer works.
This is especially annoying when you have a big
template loaded instruments in VEP and must reboot and
template and reload this famous losing precious minutes.
Music is a passion we gain more time-time better.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it now for 1 1/2 years.
THE only map I used was previously
The soundblaster Audigy 2ZS.
I like that its compact design.
I do not like it is not made known
Output standby windows.
The value for money is very good though especially in bundle
Pro Tools.
If I would do this choice, for the price, yes, for ease of use not
made because of having to reboot every time the PC is really
annoying in the long run.
I'd probably go to his sister who is in mbox 3 usb 2.0
