MOTU have announced that they have started shipping their new 'personal studio recording' solution.
The MicroBook II provides simultaneous inputs for a microphone, a guitar, and a keyboard or other stereo line level device. The mic preamp features 20 dB pad and 48V phantom power for condenser mics. Programmable outputs are included to provide various monitoring options.

4 × 6 recording solution
You can plug in a mic, guitar, and keyboard (or iPad) and record simultaneously. You can connect your studio monitors with balanced quarter-inch cables, and add desktop speakers and headphones.
The MicroBook II comes in a 5.5 by 3.6 by 1.25 inches, designed to fit into your backpack or even your pocket. USB 2.0 bus power is included.
The device includes two digital rotary encoders. You can push the volume knob repeatedly to cycle among the main outs, headphones, or both.
