The choice was made to have a MIDI output in addition to a simple 2-input input interface, which was quite rare.
I use the USB to the software, and the entries have served me for Micro, synth, mixer depending on usage.
To get the sound of my instruments, I could use the mixer, but for the record I connectais Audiobox, instrument by instrument, with only two inputs, it is not the most convenient, but when it starts on form!

UTILIZATION

I had problems for months to look and change drivers on PC because its a parasite was present, but I went Mac now, I connect, I play more problems thank you Apple.
Used in Ableton, no complaints. Studio One was offered as I got into it and I confess that I have adopted for certain components, this software is great.

GETTING STARTED

No problem on Mac, Windows Drivers problem (see dozens of thread on google)

The configuration is really good, a knob for the determination of sound input and USB, the volumes of inputs, the headphone and the simple and very solid overall volume.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years, this is my first external sound card and I have no regrets since I went Mac.
I appreciate it for its simplicity and robustness, very good quality / price ratio
I would do the same choice with experience, maybe it's worth it to buy used.

I have not chosen by myself, it was offered to me. I use a PC running Windows 7 with 4GB of ram.

It has 2 inputs and 2 outputs + mono headphone output [all in jack] + 1 input and 1 output noon. 48v phantom power and pre-amps.

On a driver interface where you can choose whether it is rotated at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz, and the latency of 6 levels (a latency output 3069 samples / 69 ms and a latency of input samples 1068/24 ms latency output 280 samples / 6 ms and a latency input 93 samples / 2 ms).

I use it for my shots sound microphones "room", making dynamic microphones to record the guitar by plugging directly, and its connectivity noon.

UTILIZATION

Plug and play was not super stable for me, but the drivers are stable once installed, and I had more problems. Never had to SHIFT.

GETTING STARTED

Installation is no problem. one branch, we put the cd and instructions are followed.
The rest is pretty simple.

I quickly looked at the manual for doing something, I recall more how it is done. But the box is rather intuitive.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had more than 2 years. I have not tried another model.

The feature I like most is the knob "mixer" which allows to mix the sounds that I plug in and the sound coming from my PC (which avoids the latency).

I must have been 3 years for the price I have no complaints, the construction is good the connection is good, the knobs hold up.
I am satisfied with my purchase for my little amateur use.

Purchased for use in FL Studio with a tower (Windows 7 64-bit, Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM). Easier access because I work with a tower, I had before the EMU 1212M (PCI). A midi keyboard maudio midi input, output to active monitors output to my stereo, can enter two instruments or vinyl, or platinum. A well-designed headphones output, sufficient volume settings.

UTILIZATION

The driver asked me worry Windows 7 because the Presonus site, the link to the stable drivers stated "beta" while it is good. Quickly resolved. Very low latency (5ms)

Easy to install, config nonexistent, it works on branch.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for 6 months I did not change. It is a simple, robust, small but effective interface.

With Mac, I connected it, turned it on and that's it.
I never had the need of a manual, it's very easy to use.

OVERALL OPINION

I've used it since 2010 and it's my first soundcard. I don't need much. I use it to record my guitar, listen to music and make some demos here and there.
My only regret is that Presonus didn't make this audiobox mountain lion-compatible, so I'm stuck with snow leopard and I'm afraid it will not work correctly If I decide to upgrade.
I would definitely buy it again.

I bought this soundcard for its price and for its solid metallic aspect.
I use it mainly to record guitar and vocals over usb on windows 7 pro 64 bits.

I haven't had any problems with the drivers.
I usually use it with Presonus studio one 2 professional with almost no latency.

The installation and the setup couldn't be simpler. It is so easy to use that I haven't used the manual in two years of good and loyal service, during which this small blue box hasn't given me any compatibility nor any other sort of problem.

OVERALL OPINION

I've used this soundcard for two years.
I didn't try any other model before, the solid impression it gave me was enough to convince me.
What I like the most are its looks, ease of use and, especially, its price.
There is nothing I don't like. In my opinion, it is perfect in every respect. With such a price, what else could you ask for?
Excellent value for money. I don't have it anymore because I got a top range soundcard, whose price is obviously not the same.
If I had to buy another one, I'd buy this one again with my eyes closed. I would even by two at the same time to be sure I have one in case it doesn't work correctly, which I doubt, considering the quality of Presonus products.

I'm looking for an external sound card with good pramplis and impractical running Linux. I use Debian on a notebook type pc.

I use it to record my guitar taken out of the pod 500 hd, this one n'tant not currently supported by Linux.

UTILIZATION

The drivers are part of the kernel, no problem of stability. I use it with Jack and Ardour. I record a track in Stereo, by listening at the same time playing a BT Stereo also.

For cons, I use no simulation on the PC, so I have no problem of latency.

It will not recess the case of a user of amp simulation.

GETTING STARTED

No installation required for the kernel. You just select the interface in Jack using, for example, Jack Control. And settings of the frquence Sampling.

I never used the manual, nothing related to Linux.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months. I have not tried other before.

J'apprcie the breath does not exist, the Sampling 24-bit 48 KHz. The possibility of rgler indpendamment the level and mix of between / BT Phone or the output amplifier.

What j'apprcie least, the reprage index engraved on buttons. Just an engraving of a button mtallique, almost invisible under low brightness!

But the sound quality is excellent.

I was looking for a mobile and sturdy sound card with hybrid Jack/XLR connections, 48V phantom power and quality preamps.

I couldn't decide between the M-Audio Mobile Pre MKII and this one
The shop assistant recommended me this one for only $10 more.

UTILIZATION

I still haven't downloaded the latest drivers, but the ones included on the CD work fine (although I don't have the benefit of hindsight, since I've had it one week only)

I can get 3ms latency at 16bits/44Khz (I haven't tried the other modes)

OVERALL OPINION

I've had it for a week and don't regret anything! I once had the Line 6 TonePort UX2, then the Line6 HD 500 pedalboard (which doubles as an external sound card) ... And well, you can tell the difference.

I love the knob to mix the input signal and the sound from the PC ... Very practical to record without the need to touch the source volume

The value for money is very good

I recommend this card to anyone looking for a robust, mobile card with no latency

Simplicity of the machine, USB (too many problems with the firewire on my config) the production copy (not a lot of plastic on the sound card) and preamps!

A little while in fact, used for models j'm'en my songs, I re-record over the instruments has the loudest in the studio ... but I'm more qu'tonn the quality of the preamp up!

Oula ... we will try to put it simply, Dell Vostro 1000 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, USB sound card (the presonus so hehe)!

I still had some problems of stability, and still is, I sometimes need to reboot the card since there is almost no sound ... and sometimes it rchantillone alone I do not yet understand the problem, but apparently it's done ... By listening to one of the pieces of my group that j'me'm saying is not possible the singer does not have a voice as sharp hehe!

I bought it on Playback.fr, book within 24 hours ... for 150! I'm glad I finally short a good sound card with good preamps!

Here's a lil example recorded in a hurry with my acoustic first is a micro T.bone RM700, and then a T.bone SC450!

I did not add any EQ, just a little reverb to give the scale, it's one shot, so please excuse the few small loaves and the bad words: D hehe

In any case I can only recommend this sound card, it works well, almost no lag, good preamps, I briefly wondered no more!

After a few days of use, it sounds good, the preamp is hell, I have some concerns parcontre stability, ca can be just my laptop, I dunno, I must not be truly call for this kind of thing, but I have to reboot the card each demmarage the pc, and every wake, if I do not have a sound, and from time to time if I reboot while playing an mp3 and or video, it rchantillone CARREMENT earlier, so pieces s'accellere and become more acute ... tiring, but good when it works, it works!

Ptite saturation unpleasant as when I use my vst.

Presonus USB Audiobox

UTILIZATION

I do not know if I'm new to mac or not, use a few years behind me (and computer business), but installing this card on Leopard have not been the easiest one: everything is in the utility / Applications / Utilities / Audio MIDI Setup, create an Aggregate Device to access inputs on the card and set it as default device in the system. The Presonus doc does not like this manipulation, for them it is plug and play.

GETTING STARTED

Otherwise, it's happiness in a box because there is no problems. It's been 2-3 weeks since I have the card have not won once. It can easily connect and disconnect as soon as it is disconnected, Leopard will automatically switch on the internal sound card.

What pleased me the most is the quality of the preamp, while I come from the m-audio = push the gain a background to capture a minimum output of the microphone on Presonus, I gain in medium is 0dB and the input level is quite normal and satisfactory, or the word "PREAMP" M-audio take on the seed ...

For a purchase price by almost half of my old card Firewire 410, I am more than satisfied as it fully meets my expectations. The look is really nice, one small complaint, the headphone jack is behind and not facade, but it's a detail!

The installation was done like a charm
There is no inconsistency. No need to make changes in Windows.
The device in Cubase DTECT the first time.
No need to read the manual. Everything is very simple.

The drivers are stable, I use the machine for hours of time and never noticed that the latency increases.
I use Cubase LE 4 and I get a good latency trs.

I use it for about 6 months. I have a MOTU 8 pre, an M-Audio FireWire 18/14. pramplis level, I find the AudioBox fared better than the MOTU (who cons, is very practical to record several tracks ...).

single point "ngatif," the grooves on the knobs are virtually invisible (hard to know what level you are) without rapproher 3cm ...

For my part, I test many configs, with all kinds of mics etc.. I find that this pramps Audiobox trs are good, it is robust, and it does its job fawn could not be more simple and effective.

purchased to be connected to my MacBook Pro (Leopard + Logic + Komplete7 elements). It also receives the sound of my microphone and my super bass station via a small mixer.

Ultra stable. No driver to install. I did not measure the latency but I can play with several AU and audio without any problems. After that I not drive the mule and not too many tracks I've ever.
