Universal Audio announces the release in October of a new Apollo Twin Duo desktop audio interface with USB 3.0 connection, but for Windows only.
The new UAD Apollo Twin Duo USB retains the look and DSP processing capacities of the latests Thunderbolt models in the series, with a 2x6 in/out setup, 24-bi / 192 kHz audio converters and even the Unison technologies that changes the behavior of the physical mic preamps and DIs.
The Apollo Twin USB features two mic preamps/line inputs, two line outputs, a Hi-Z input for instrument and a headphone output. You can also add up to 8 channels via the optical connection and combine the interface with UAD-2 DSP cards for expanded DSP processing.
The Apollo Twin Duo USB is compatible with Windows 7 and 8.1 and it ships with the USB cable as well as the UAD Realtime Analog Classics bundle comprising the LA-2A leveler, 1176N limiter, Pultec EQP-1A EQ, Softube Amp Room Essentials and the 610-B tube preamp.
