Blue Microphones Tiki

I just used the Blue Microphones Tiki for the first time a few days ago. It is a USB condenser microphone that has plug and play technology. It is compatible with any both Mac and PC computers. The frequency response of the Blue Microphones Tiki is 40Hz-20 kHz and it does not have a low cut filter and no pads. It has an omni polar pattern and very good technology for speech mode. It will get your words out very clear and easy to understand for your online podcast or chat room. If you need a microphone for computer this is a great one to have, I used it with Skype because one of my laptops does not have a built in microphone on it.

OVERALL OPINION

You may seem like you are far away from your microphone when you have it plugged in because it is only about 3 inches out from your computer. So it may feel like you are still using a built in computer microphone but when it comes to the quality all I can say is wow. There is a huge difference between the quality of a built in computer microphone and the Blue Microphones Tiki.
It does have a recording mode to it that is great for your podcasting or online radio shows or just to use to take voice notes with. It does also say that it can be used for music recording as well. I do not agree with the music recording part because the microphone lacks too much low end depth for music recording so it is not even worth trying to use it for that.
This is the perfect microphone to have for your computer to talk with online, especially in times like now when you can get rid of your house phone for some time of online calling service. The Blue Microphones Tiki is made by a company (Blue Microphones) that has also put out great quality microphones and this one is no exception to that.
