«  excellent surprise »

Value For Money : Excellent
Chinese manufacturing, tune o matic bridge, mahogany set neck with rosewood fingerboard mechanical steinberger, mahogany body, 2 humbuckers, 2 volume, 2 tone, 3 position switch, the classic ...

Overall a very simple bill, but very well done, good violin, good binding, very beautiful object ...

For the price, nothing surprising, but the hardware is very average and very quickly oxidized (easel, finishing mechanical ...). I have not yet opened the beast (it will be soon ....) but the electronics must be the lowest rate ...

9/10 for value for money.

UTILIZATION

very nice surprise on the handle ... this is not a log, relatively flat radius, it is not an ibanez neck either ... I'm more used to the handles vintage fender (buche with large radius), but here is my handle fell directly under the fingers, sweet, everything goes easy, I love it!

This is a firebird, therefore tend to nosedive into play standing, this is normal. on the other hand, it is less onerous than a "true" (or orville gibson vintage ...), including the head, and then, with a good padded leather strap no problem for me. the game is very natural sitting. accessibility to acute nickel.

The great surprise of this guitar is its sound was empty, not trendy, beautiful, shiny, full bodied, well balanced, great projection. all my guitars, it's one that sounds the best vacuum ... superb!

SOUNDS

Ben sounds like this guitar course, well, amplified, even with microphones basic, well it does. I play everything (tendency to rock blues still ...), a blackstar amp, with a gaggle of pedals ... the two humbuckers are the job well and have a relatively comfortable level of output. Clearly, in crunch in distortion, nothing to say it does it very well spent and all techniques. a slight lack of personality probably the mics, but frankly for the price, it's happiness ... The sound is brighter and slamming a LP but remains in the registry "gibson" ... firebird mind is less dull than LP.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this firebird as a stopgap while waiting to buy me a real later ... well it is not at all a stopgap, it's just a very very good guitar ... it has been 25 years since I played, so I tried a bunch of skyscrapers, including firebird (and orville gibson). This little Epiphone is actually part of the family firebird with his personality to it, I love!

So she will be entitled to a change in micro electronics and hardware (probably with a Bigsby ...), because it's worth it ...

I will publish my opinion once upgraded the guitar ...

Excellent value for money.
