Ample Guitar released version 2.0 for its three virtual Martin, Taylor and Alhambra acoustic guitars.

The Ample Guitar M, L and T are now available in version 2.0 with the following changes:

  • Strummer feature with chord and pattern drag & drop support, 24 slots for the Select mode, ability to play all the chords on the 6 strings, improved humanization options and new strumming patterns
  • Slide samples added to all the guitars
  • Capo option that allows for transposing without changing MIDI
  • Auto Mod to enable the vibrato
  • Range Mode to adjust the vibrato intensity
  • Poly Bend for multiple note bending
  • Solo Mode added to the Keyboard and Standard modes
  • Improved GPX support in the built-in tab player
  • VST 3 plug-in support on Mac OS X and Windows
  • Load multiple instances faster with only few additional memory ressources
  • Improved voice management
  • New standalone app that can load all the Ample Sound plug-ins with virtual keyboard support

Note that version 2 of the Ample Guitars cannot load presets/parameters created or used on versions 1.x, but you’ll find in this new version all the settings from the v1 and you can keep the two generations on the same computer, v2 won’t be installed over v1.

Ample Sound adds that its electric guitars will also soon be upgraded and extension packs will be available for the v2.

Owners of the acoustic guitars can download the upgrade for free. Demos are online at www.amplesound.net.
