News Applied Acoustics Systems Strum GS-2 Acoustic Guitar

Applied Acoustics Systems has released a new version of its acoustic guitar plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows.

Strum GS-2 Acoustic Guitars adds the following:

  • Updated library with nylon and steel string acoustic guitars
  • MIDI strumming pattern library that covers various techniques and music styles
  • Improved models with a better interaction between pick and fingers, enhanced instrument body response for a richer sound
  • New Keyboard mode for playing guitar lines
  • New Loop mode for direct access to rhythm figures via MIDI loops
  • Updated MIDI strumming
  • Added compressor, EQ and limiter
  • Updated GUI with 3 panels: Play with shortcuts to performance and effect parameters ; Edit for instrument control and FX for the effects
  • Bank and program manager
  • Updated multi-effect processor with chorus, delay, phaser, flanger, distortion, notch filter, wah-wah, auto-wah and reverb

AAS adds that a future free update will include an electric guitar and amp.

Strum GS-2 Acoustic Guitar is available in standalone, VST, AU, RTAS and AAX native versions for Mac OS X and Windows. It is available for the introductory price of $149 instead of $199 until April 30th. If you purchased Strum Acoustic GS-1 between February 27th and March 27th, the upgrade is free. If you are an older user of Strum Acoustic / Electric GS-1, the upgrade price is $29 instead of $39 during this launching period and the price is $49 instead of $99 if you own Strum Acoustic Session. You can also download a trial version from www.applied-acoustics.com.
