Modwheel introduces a new sample library for Kontakt cooked from a biscuit tin guitar.

The instrument used for the new Modwheel Biscuit Tin Guitar library is a 4 string fretless model handmade by Steve Roche and equipped with a pickup. It is tuned in banjo Open G (D G B D) but the note range has been extended to the E below the D for more sound capacities. The instrument was recorded both acoustically and connected to a vintage Fender Twin Reverb amp.

The library features 35 patches for Kontakt, each with the guitar fingered and picked, with velocity layers that can be controlled by the keyswitches and at least 3 round robins. You also get mutes, semitone slides and hammer-offs, and some of the patches will play arpeggios and rhythmic patterns with a single key.

The GUI interface for Kontakt also includes an effect section.

In total, Biscuit Tin Guitar features 2 873 samples in 24-bit / 96 kHz format. It is available for the introductory price of $29 instead of $49 at www.modwheel.co.nz.
