VirSyn’s new app for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad takes you back to the analog tape echo era.
Tap Delay for iOS includes a step-sequencer style multitap delay engine and features high-pass, low-pass and band-pass feedback filters, a limiter, a tape simulation with saturation, noises, wow and flutter controls, 24 taps to create rhythmic delay effects, an EQ for the delay loop in order to create dub effects, a rotary echo and you can MIDI sync the tempo. Built-in oversampling allows for alias free tape saturation and you get an onboard iTunes player as well as compatibility with Audiobus 2 and IAA to use the effect with Auria, Cubasis and GarageBand, among others. You can also apply the effect to the incoming audio via the microphone or an instrument connected to a compatible interface.
Tap Delay for iOS is available at the AppStore for $/€ 9.99.
