The next version of the virtual MPC for iOS will be Pro, that’s the latest Akai news.
Details of the iMPC Pro started to leak, via pictures or videos that Akai themselves are releasing every week. We still don’t know everything about the App, except that it is developed with the collaboration of Retronyms.
the iMPC Pro sports a new GUI, on which you will be able to create projects with up to 64 tracks and it will include, among others, a Flux Link beat performance control, a multitouch sampler Chopper (not the helicopter, right? though…) and a full mixer with a 3-band EQ, compressor, 3 effect sends (chorus, delay and reverb), automation, as well as the usual solo, pan and mute functions.
The app is currently announced for the iPad only, and should be released mid-Spring.
