Installation: Disk 2.1 + update 2.1.4 Easy
no problems Important 2.1.4 provides a facility
choose whether you want to keep the "kore engines" or use
Recent plugs NI: absynth, reaktor, massive, FM8 (see the NI website)
No incompatibility except perhaps a few plugs
simple configuration
I would have liked more examples of "workaround" for more configs and possible uses than it seems.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

config i5quad 3.1 to 3.4 GHz 32nm DDR3 1600 4GB low latency dd greencaviar 7500T 1t / m + velociraptor 136g 10000t / m rms fireface800 windows7
Running? Nothing to say
Very stable
Performance? Nickel if not ..... one heart processor used so a kore instance is limited so you have multiple instances for large projects in a DAW or live more dedicated software.
I use Stagelight BloXpander and touch-screen to try to keep the "workflow" intuitive and not making head as standard DAW tend to kill the enthusiasm that we can have with the kore

OVERALL OPINION

I use since 2010 with the kore 1 hardware (I never used the software kore 1 bought in 2006!) I crossgrade to komplete 7
for the 250th + mouth + razor and excellent deep freq and NI offered 3 sound packs and gratis since I had other cool stuff. it is enough if one assumes that the presets are bases for other sounds
I had maschine 1.5 at the same time as the update kore 2
What I do not like in Kore 2? There are more dévelloppement over in komplete ksd (except the kore forum which still exists) and the last of plugs and dynamic effects of SELF OR MALFUNCTION seem to manage presets: (
What I like: architecture, mappings of params saved WITH sound (a revolution compared to any other midi controller!) Morph
(Assign a different setting LFO speed for example on 8 morph positions
and you can play with 8 buttons to move selected LFO speeds) + classic morph parameters of different plugins! ..
save several plugs as a single sound or save the entire kore as a single sound! The audio and midi routing, the live aspect, the effects (not all) midi modules .............
I have enjoyed the sidechain (multiple entries of a managed plugin), new modules, using multiple controllers kore with a focus on different colored modules for each controller, multi thread, new modules even see maschine as Module! ... The kore concept deserved a better end. Perhaps one day resurface

The price / quality ratio seems to me right on the basis of available software and
the kore product

I intend to eventually if I have the budget to buy a kore 2 because if it snaps ..... mine is 7 years old already
