I've been using this in-ear monitor for over two years. It's my first in-ear system. I had never used one before.
What I like most: The price is more than OK, because it allows you to enter the in-ear world without going broke. The sound is quite all right, for my taste. The headphones included are OK, they reproduce well the output of the mixer. I use it for gigs as singer using playback. It is ideal in such a setup, it provides an ideal control of the vocals.

What I like least: The manufacturing quality is a bit low, but it's quite normal given the price (a pot on the backside is loose). The antenna on the receiver is erratic, short interruptions. You have to handle it with care.

To conclude, this product is made to start out without breaking your piggy bank. It's well-spent money. I have never used it at more than 30 ft from the source and have never had dropouts. For vocals, it's a delight. I don't work anymore with wedges and I have finally regained control over my voice without fatigue. There are certainly better and more expensive ones, but this one suits me well.

- How long have you been using it?
2 months
- Which feature do you like best?
The most: The overall quality and the great finish. Plus, it's easy to use and the price is OK. The sounds is all right, slightly distorted, but it's OK. It's a delight to hear yourself well! :-)
I don't like: The volume control on the receiver isn't tapered and it can be easily moved unintentionally. The ear cups aren't something to brag about.

- Did you try any other models before buying it?
nope, it's my first one.

- How would you rate its value for money?
good, for $300, I can't complain. it works correctly.

- Based on your experience, would you choose this product again?
yes…

Hello everybody,
I would like to tell you my story as a new owner of an LD System IEM 100 in-ear monitor system.
I'm also the fortunate owner of a WS 100 guitar system, with which I am very happy — not one single dropout up to this day (I have used it on stage at least 5 times a month over the last six months and the reproduction quality and battery consumption are fine).
So, happy with LD System products, I bought an IEM 100:
Conclusions after using it several times:
- Resource-intensive (3h30 max. with 2500 mAh AA-type batteries, and my performances last 5 hours, so it's useless!!!)
- Interference problems with the other wireless system for guitar, even if selecting completely opposite...…

So, happy with LD System products, I bought an IEM 100:
Conclusions after using it several times:
- Resource-intensive (3h30 max. with 2500 mAh AA-type batteries, and my performances last 5 hours, so it's useless!!!)
- Interference problems with the other wireless system for guitar, even if selecting completely opposite frequencies (160 frequencies to choose from!).
- Sound quality, lots of high mids, very aggressive (in my opinion), I changed the original headphones with some MP3 BTE ones, because it's impossible for me to keep the pseudo-suction pads on the ears, plus, their quality is better.
- On the other hand, it's easy to use.
- Plastic box including all accessories to rack-mount it, the transmitter, the receiver, the PSU and even a set of batteries. Cool.
- The system is solid, transmitter with metal housing and receiver made of thermoplastic (for "normal" use conditions).
- It's powerful (despite the noise) so watch out for your ears, don't crank it up too much.
But I haven't given up. I'm still awaiting to see the new version of the IEM 1000!!!
For $300 it's all right for small applications but very cheap for pro ones, given the price of sennheiser or shure products! It's easy to understand why! The quality of in-ear headphones is very important, so aim for something higher if you want to get an in-ear system.

How long have you been using it?
I tested it several months as monitoring system for a drummer
Which feature do you like the most / the least?

It looks nice and it's light. These are all its advantages.
The sound is shrill and if you use a real pair of headphones it doesn't have enough volume.
The limiter is more a compressor than a limiter, very unpleasant for drums.
The power consumption shouldn't be neglected.
In short, it's not great.

Did you try any of other models before buying this one?
No

How would you rate its value for money?
It's pretty cheap, to be honest.
But it's unusable, so even if it costs only $50 it's too expensive.
