«  product quality, exellent .. »

Published on 06/08/14 at 06:18
I begin my 10th year with this 4x12 cab ..
the well known 1960 Standart mounted G12T75 the G12M Greenback 1960TV mounted 25W 16Ohm, Orange, Mesa Boogie and Hiwatt ..
the first thing I would point out and rectify if possible once and for all and strength to see the error on many forums:
the HP 1960 Vintage Vintage are not 30 ..
First the Vintage 30 are made in China ..!
while 1960 Vintage Made in England Celestion Marshall ..
the technical specifications are not quite the same ..
70 watts eligible for 1960V and 60 watts for the V30 ..
performance per watt / meter must not be identical ie 100db also for V30 and slightly lower for 1960V ..
the 1960V is called G12V code S81
I put 4 photos meaningful .. Just look ..
for me it is clear, the 1960V smells good quality product particularly cared for a little more difficult Celestion clients (ear ..) than average ..
technically, even if these two HP resembles in appearance, there is a safe bet that the "bowl" (frame), the membrane and the motor (magnet / coil) have nothing identical. .
to the bowl and loving .. the different alloys of iron
the coil in the air gap .. type copper
membrane .. what type or quality of cellulose
these some basic parameters may already be decisive in rendering listen HP has a ..
namely that the quality of the components of HP are paramount ..
in the case of the two aforementioned models, all this seems to me more than verifiable ..
I return now to the 1960 Vintage ..
the first thing to say is that this cab is definitely for the big, hairy distortion, ca makes warm and distinctive, while retaining a clean and precise ..
in clean and crunch it's going well too .. it's alive ..
if you know a good master the whole spectrum of the cavalry low ..!
wants you in veiled .. gogo .. only true defect of the cab .. so it must be a fault ..
in my opinion this cab has certainly been designed precisely for that ..
it represents such a dimension equal to the standard 1960 a total weight of about 4.5 kg more ..
the quality of the wood used for the subwoofer certainly its role to play by its density and resistance to vibration parasite eg ..
I simply considered the 1960 vintage as being the evolution of the standard 1960 ..
have a period while the next JCM 800 that is well and it also allows more modern color but rather for what I would call less "formatted" ..
For my part, it is powered by a DSL100 head .. output 16 ohm mono ..
all my signal is pure .. Marshall pre-amp is a JMP-1 and JFX .. including distortion pedals and the compression ..
works very well also with Prophesy pre-amp .. temp was another .. and a little more often in addition to some modulations on the jmp / jfx signal ..
In summary great satisfaction with this cab, a frankly fun is far from being exhausted ..
I would simply say that it is important to know why have needed ..
to the question of price / quality ratio, although it is a bit expensive, it's still very good and good quality ..
bah With the experience I just waiting for the end time to get hold of a second in order to couple the pair has a EL34/100/100 ..
A good fuck +
