«  Friendly, good folk first! »

Published on 10/16/11 at 05:43
Made in China, bought in Mexico.
Handle "normal" for folk, wide enough but not too thick either handle type D.
22 frets, EQ-505R preamp setting with bass, middle, treble and gain. Works with 9v battery.
I do not know the woods used, but the body is made of wood rather fragile (I have a crack from an impact against a cabinet, the table top was like "detached" at the location of the crack) .
A tuner would have been welcome! The violin and finishes are top, must admit it's a bit "plastic".

UTILIZATION

Channel pleasant, of course, be no fun to play 1 hour on the first 3 frets on pain of being sheared fingers crossed the pass but is better.
Good ergonomics while the guitar is thick and wide ass but it's a folk together.
Access ozaigus is "good", say that achieves the 17th fret, after becoming freestyle ca. So I define as good as it rarely goes as high with this type of scratch ^ ^

SOUNDS

The sound my surprise, I ca not expect for the price. A beautiful type but its not particularly effective.
Plugged into an amp it gets interesting, the ac which is responsive EQ gives different sounds all very usable: crystalline typed medium, hot, ...
In this nikel arpeggios with a little chorus and delay, the agreements also going well, well defined and clear.
There is no sound that I dislike (except when my strings are 2 years old, as now, it's a bit dull and flat ^ ^ ")

OVERALL OPINION

I have 4 years now, I bought it because I wanted a folk without much break the bank. It was my first folk, and it has served its purpose. What I like most is the sound amp plugged in, but the violin is not excellent, finishes either at the same time for the price ... just the price / quality ratio is not bad, I would do This may be a first choice for folk, though I must admit that there is better elsewhere for the same price or € 50 more.
