What characteristics have motivated my choice?
For what purpose?
For my amateur home studio, I was looking monitors on which I could do a mix correct. Previously I was working on a stereo configuration ineffective for this, I lost plenty of time to adjust and to compare (even though it was fun somewhere) on all types of plays which I was available ...
Power:
Since I work in a small room in a terraced house with non-insulated walls, no need to search for 200W or even 100W.
Price:
This is a major purchase, and after long reflection, I allowed myself to ride the bet. see the relationship between quality-price-specs
The quality is not known a priori except reputation (Dynaudio is good, it comes from hautdegamme), we know the price and spec too. Beware of inflated specs for low prices, this may be an indicator of lower quality ...
I wanted to open a purchase for the future, an assurance of a decent job, do not hesitate, you must pay the price.
+: Mitigation potential of low-medium-sharp: not necessary, it was an individual choice, but it was always better than not having ..
-: No volume control that limits the configuration, but not serious because no need in this case.

SOUNDS
The frequency curve is sufficiently neutral?
Nothing like before, actually mixing the job level is 100x more accurate, easier, if there are mistakes, it's my fault.
The stereo image is good?
Yeah actually I can not fully appreciate because of the configuration of the room, but that's for sure, it is at least good.
The sound is clear and precise on the spectrum?

The dynamics are respected?
same as for the stereo image, hard to say in the current configuration, we'll see in a room properly.
on the other hand I found one of my pieces as being too compressed on Genelec 1038 although this had not more shocked that the BM5A. Infact I have not worked on them and there is a difference between the two types 4000Eur/pièce monitor somewhere so happily. And probably would not I made the mistake if I worked directly on dyn.
Transients
it's not that my ears are bleeding because they are not tired but the sound is chopped in small knife is an absolute wealth.

the small low round even though at least makes you say that the whole neighborhood should feel it.
No less really is love.
Have you tried many other models before buying it?
I heard MSP5 home: small, well punchy, aggressive, but did not make me feel the shortcomings of my songs, not very clear that little low, however the low end is fuzzy ..
Fostex PM-1 with a friend: oh they sound really good, it's a pleasure to hear them. Why not this one (which are half price):
- No professional back behind them, either because BM5A new little sisters, but they even exceed the BM6A told and similar range Dynaudio
- No ability to change the frequency response (I prefer having a choice, having no experience in that)
- For different monitors of this friend to have a different opinion on a possible mix.
