«  An excellent choice »

I chose these monitors because their vent is placed in front. We can put them near the wall. I use Konnekt 24D with a call for house music, trip-hop, lounge and listen to my favorite cd's (in very eclectic styles)

SOUNDS

I could not analyze the neutrality of a frequency curve. I note however that there is no low or very marked peak, which should be a good sign!
I intend to complete my outfit for the sub to work more finely Fostex bass.
The stereo is very good. I think it is still necessary to have dedicated stands up to head on the desk, these plays are not all they are capable (in my opinion)
Dynamics is the strong point for me. When I listen to songs "Appliances" good fashion, I realize how the sound is compressed, limited to the name of the "loudness war".
Yet these plays are very effective in today's music: Put the album "Boulevard de Saint-Germain, for example (ok, this house in 15 years ...)
Anyway, it always takes a hell of a slap! :)

OVERALL OPINION

I use for almost two years. Originally, I wanted to buy Genelec 8030 because I had one of my mastering in a studio equipped with Genelec Pro. Your wallet does not follow at the time (today either:)) I pulled over Fostex after reading a lot of positive opinions.
For the average home studio (which was not much space in addition to having perhaps the neighbors) I find them as powerful as discrete: they face, the sound is clear and powerful. But in the next room is quite reasonable (inaudible even one floor below)
Paid 258 euros a pair, I do not regret that choice. I always dream of Genelec offer me but I know already that I will keep my second pair of Fostex listening.
