Purchase motivations:
I was looking for studio monitors to be placed on a desk. The studio is a room.
Size, front vent, with the possibility of placing them near walls, bass and dynamic speakers were good arguments for buying and I do not even talk about design more than successful
The 6 "was a compromise for me between 5 and 8, the office requires.
In addition, they were in my budget. I hesitated to tell the truth with PRODIPE PRO8 RIBBON (highly recommended by my dealer for lack of dynamic (especially for the Rock / Electro), the Alesis M620 (very bad advice on AudioFanzine) Fostex PM1 MKII and. The last 2 n 'with all manner no vents in the front. The Yamaha HS80 tempted me, I like the precision Yam but his lack of fishing often: lack of bass and treble too present for me. The only sound I Yam inappropriate. I confess also that I am not a pro in monitoring so these speakers will also listen to music and movies so successful KRK! The choice was made

SOUNDS

1st Printing:
Very good. The packaging is nickel. No surprises. The speakers are still impressive (I did well not to take the 8-inch) and yellow on the boomer honeycomb is the most beautiful effect. They decorate my office with wonder.
The workmanship is quality - is appreciated. And they should not move like that, 9 kg per speaker anyway.
Side connections: no surpise: XLR, RCA or Jack.
Setting-30db to +6 db.
They are naturally shielded so they can be placed without bp next to a screen.

First listen:
I did that for two days so it is still too early to say definitively but 1st impressions are very good. Caution, however placement is very important. KRK recommends investing in a triangle and the speakers should be at ear level if you will enjoy. Place + down, directly on the desktop or floor for example, is strongly canceled. I took the test and the difference is clear: these speakers at ear level. The ear between the woofer and tweeter.
The sound is clear and precise. The bass are without either being too present (it's still monitoring), the midrange and treble is off and new sounds that I knew very little or no forward with my computer speakers appear.
The stereo effect is also the most beautiful effect.
The dynamics is appreciable. It really changed me.

OVERALL OPINION

Difficult to pronounce a final opinion within 3 days but still, the result is so far very positive.
We must also admit that they are my first studio monitors, so yes it changes the computer speakers but I can not tell from the competition.

I'd acquired in a time of foams for insulation and also raise a bit.
I already enjoy it and I would return to an update in awhile.

As it stands, I recommend them!
