UTILIZATION

Certainly the mixer's most comprehensive yet. The 442 has 4 inputs switchable mic / line, 2 outputs Left / Right and four direct outputs. The stereo outputs are available simultaneously on XLR, making multi close, and TA3. We can supply such audio in multi-camera monitoring and liaison. In addition, you can can both exit at the micro level and line level.

It has two entries for the return cam.

FADER pre outputs directly available in mic or line level (see: the menus).

Finally, we can without losing linker two mixers input.

The mixer has an output limiter dB adjustable and switchable input limiter.

It runs on batteries LR6 but can obviously functioned on battery type NP1

The measurement is complete with ultra seen the choice of meter, the meter peak and even the two combined! Height of luxury you can adjust the light intensity of LEDs.

It also has two headphone outputs: one 6.35 mm and 3.5 mm in one.

All this in a format more compact and lighter than SQN4 S relegated to the stone age.

Only drawback, the navigating menus is impossible (at least at the beginning) without the little picture that goes hand. Indeed, no LCD screen on the device. So the diodes of the peak meter that will allow you to browse and make adjustments (such as pre-post limiter, Ballistic, factory reset ...) Clearly a diode is a menu (eg diode -30 Left = limiter diodes Right sets the threshold)

Read the manual is clearer LOL

The generator is adjustable in frequency and level, or not assignable to outputs Direct! In addition, we have the right to talk back with a handy feature (detachable) which generates a stroke of 400 Hz (1 sec) before you initiate the talk back mic.

SOUNDS

And what's more it sounds! The preamps and limiters cashing well if they are set properly work with discretion. Maybe some will find a warm made less than SQN ...

OVERALL OPINION

Frankly, it's a great product that can do many things. The SQN4 takes a hell getting old!

Is the price which is at just over 3000 euros in France, but the United States are only a few hours of flight ...
